Good morning, it's wet and dreary here, set for the weekend I think.
Yesterday was ok, I visited my friend and stayed for a chat, came home and was in for the rest of the day.
Nothing planned for today except continuing to read the book from the Book Club. I have another 2 weeks till we meet again, so plenty of time to finish
Sorry to hear about your ankle Snoozer, sounds painful.
Hope you have a spider free few days TA, and thoughts to the rest of the holidaymakers, enjoy your time away.
Take care folks.

Damp and misty here after a lovely warm day yesterday.Have hopefully got my glasses sorted, very helpful manager at SSvrs….yes it’s cost me another £60 for two pairs, but that’s to completely change the lenses to Super Readers which appear to be a step between reading glasses and varifocals. You can choose to have the upper ‘distance’ area set to 1,2 or 3 metres. So I’m trying one pair with 1m for doing craft work and having to also look at laptop or instructions; and one pair with 3m for when I’m at college. All sounds very clever and will be great if it works!Managed to wash the van, mow the lawn and do some woodwork too.Today I’m off to a craft workshop to do some weaving with wool from rare breed sheep. The result is supposed to be a small ‘sit mat’ or moggie mat 🐈⬛……mine might be another thing for Bdog to sit on.Hope everyone has a good day

Little and often is my mantra!DH gone to DS to do some more work on his car. Will make rock cakes later. Bought some salt beef from shop A. Not had that in many years so that's today's dinner sorted.Have a good day all x8

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It was my turn to have a rubbish night last night. Grr.
I'm away down memory lane with Tony B as I type this. Poetry in Motion, this was the first single I bought in my long gone teens. Aw I loved this record.
All is packed apart from the frozen stuff that's to pack last minute. Looking at all the bags and boxes waiting behind the front door you'd think I was off for a month not just a week! It's currently raining and forecast to get heavier as the day goes on but the week ahead sounds better - drier with sunshine but, sadly, coming colder.
Have a lovely w/e folks if you can with ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Have a good time away to the fellow trippers. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning all from dull and damp Mehefinland
Bit more painting done on Mehefin Towers yesterday but still a long way to go. The forecast for next week looks good so I may get the bulk of it done then. Need beg, steal or borrow a tower for the high bits. I'm not hanging off a ladder any more!!
The NHS can be a real star sometimes, I have a longstanding problem with a cattarh cough which has flared up recently. Did an econsult at 8am yesterday, got a phone call and appointment within the hour. Saw a new to me GP later in the morning. Amongst other things she decided to refer me for a chest xray. By the time I had collect script and got home again the phone was ringing from the Radiololgy department ,and I got an xray booked in for the same afternoon in the local horsepital. All done and dusted in 5 minutes, then had to fight my way home through all the Friday afternoon traffic. The young lady doing the bizz said it could take up to2 weeks to get the results back to the GP as there was such a backlog in the system. Don't understand why they can't just email them the picture thee and then . I said with the equine xrays you can see the results on screen there and then !
However..... the wheels are turning and hopefully we can get to the bottom of my problems and the significant weight loss which sparked this all off.
Think the winter's project is to redecorate my bedroom , and have a purge in the living room too. I have two pianos gathering dust and unplayed for years - the worst one can go, and I will see if the better one is salvageable once tuned. It has a few sticking keys and sounds pretty dreadful at the moment. This all sparked by my rejoining a choir after many years of not singing and realising I need to up my game lol.
Better crack on with something so hugs and spoons as always .

Morning all
Dry here for now but rain due later, I have washing on the line so will keep an eye on it. I went and got my new under sink storage yesterday and as I was putting it in noticed the pipe was still dripping, OH had another go at fixing it when he got in from work, so I’ve left the cupboard empty to air and will hopefully refill it later if it’s stopped dripping.
DD at work this morning (thanks Camelot for the congrats) she will be home later this afternoon, dinner tonight will be pie chips and peas, I might do a bit of gravy for the other two who love it, I’m not so sure with chips, got a GF pie for OH.
I have ordered some vacuum packs so this afternoon I am going to sort out my wardrobes and pack away all the summer things and things I don’t wear often, I will also have some for the CS, I’m fed up of not being able to find what I want in there, a sort out is long overdue.
When we were away we found two tiny kittens, too young to be away from mum which we fed for about a week and then they disappeared we feared the worst but the next day a note was left where we had been feeding them, saying that a local woman had taken them in, which was such a relief, I managed to track the lady down and she has sent me some photos of the kittens in her house, I sent her a donation towards the costs which she was very grateful for, she had to take them to the vet yesterday as they had constant diarrhoea and an eye infection, she said the money really helped towards the costs, it’s a bit touch and go if they make it, so fingers crossed they do, I will send a further donation if they do, this woman already had 4 cats of her own so it’s very good of her to take them in.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Sorry, I posted on yesterday's thread - told you I wasn't used to the demon drink!
How lovely Ruby, hope they make it. XX7 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
A very dull start to the day here and set to continue I think. Such a difference to yesterday which was lovely and sunny. Not much planned today - will push the vacuum around and clean the bathrooms, but need to wait for DS2's pal to leave - they are up but not sure what time they are leaving.
Sorry to hear you had another tumble @snoozer - definitely rest up if you can, although difficult with the family staying I know!
Enjoy your break @IzzyBee x
Have fun at the van @TravellingAbuela - I read an article yesterday saying there are more and bigger spiders this year for some reason. I know we've had quite a few already - not my favourite things but I can catch and dispatch with pint glass and card!!
Hope you're enjoying Belfast @Gers x
Well done for getting through the inspection @camelot1001 and enjoy the family time - not much of a rest for you this weekend!!
Well done on the painting @mehefin and hope the x-ray results come quickly. Nothing worse than waiting for results.
Glad you got your spectacles sorted @AlwaysAllie x
Have a good day everyone
