Good morning, it's an early start from me after a rubbish night.
Seems fine out there as far as I can tell.
Dp1 we are in North Durham and have the same forecast as you for the weekend, in fact there's a yellow warning.
Sounds as if you had an interesting day with your Dad Allie, something different.
Coxy, we spent a few days in Suffolk a few years ago, nice isn't it. We went to Lavenham as well. We said we would go back to the area, but never did.
Enjoy Belfast Gers.
I've got some shopping for a friend and will take it this morning, it's just a short bus ride.
That's it for today, hope the holidaymakers enjoy their time away and that everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I'm sorry you had a rubbish night, someone is hogging the Sandman again I think.
Yesterday I started off my jobs in fine fettle but, as ever, I had ground to a stop by lunchtime. I got the kitchen and bathroom cleaned then got sidetracked by making a big pan of Pea and Ham soup. I have been thinking about it all week as it's my favourite. That got frozen in an assortment of containers with 2 portions left out to accompany my lunchtime sarnies.
This morning I must do a dust and vac all around and then pack an assortment of clothes for my jaunt to the caravan tomorrow. I have yet to do a menu plan which gives me an idea of what victuals to take with me. I intend staying about a week but I may be back again Sunday if there is another influx of the giant 100 mph spiders running amok like last time. Aaargh and no ex SIL to deal with them this time!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. GERS enjoy your trip to Belfast. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning
Hope everyone is well. Seem to be a few people on travels and hols - hope you all enjoy them. The Police Museum was good, well laid out and DD loved it with lots of memories and recognising people mentioned in the displays. Traffic wasn’t too bad - I hate driving in cities - parking was extortionate because I wanted to park as close as possible to minimise walking for him. But all worth it!Today I’m visiting the opticians to see about glasses that give me a headache. Dropping DM off at a friends for coffee while I do that and whizz to the shops. Will try and get some craft work done this afternoon, failed yesterday as it was outdoors and started raining!TA - fingers crossed for no spiders!AA5 -
Morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet.The rain stopped yesterday so I ventured out to get a list of chores done. Rubbish and recycling gone, another bag of clothes to CS and a trip to the pharmacist as I've got another UTI brewing and didn't want to wait as I'm going away. She was, as always, lovely. She wanted to understand why I've been getting them more often so I explained the underlying reason which was in hand via the GP. Anyway, I'm armed with some more wretched ABs. Getting these small jobs off my list made me feel good. Then I spent time re-reading some of my late DM's emails which she wrote in the last month of her life, these dropped my spirit a bit but in a good'ish way. This morning I'm all ready for going off even if it's not until midday. Coach to Glasgow, night there and then coach to Belfast tomorrow early. The family are coming across by ferry from Liverpool, I'm so excited to see them again.Take care all if the rain comes your way. Hugs all round.3

Good morning
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons
@TA Enjoy your time away, hopefully without spiders
@Gers have a good time in Belfast
Today has started sunny so I might try and sort out the rubbish in the shed. Need to make space to pack the garden furniture away.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.2 -
Morning all, thanks Scarlet, it looks very gloomy out there, not raining though. Apparently we are still in an official drought zone despite the constant heavy rain in September so far. I didn't post yesterday, forgot. DH physio was cancelled and re-booked for Monday. He went to the pub last night and managed without his crutch. DS1 took him and picked him up so I had the tv to myself! We had a visit from DB2 and SiL after their enjoyable trip to Cyprus, I'll see them at the match tomorrow as well.Enjoy Belfast Gers, looks interesting, and your caravan stay TADS2 has been coming for his lunch as he's still working close by, he brings a box of eggs for an omelette, he's trying to cut down his food bill. The cottage at the end of the row has just had a sold sign put on it, that was quick. I'm sure it's only been up for sale a week or so.I've taken some salmon out for tea, from the freezer. There were quite a few items missing in my order yesterday.Anyway, time to take lenny out as it's looking like rain! Have a good day all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
