A packet of Time delay Wipes @ £3.99 is what I bought with my £5 voucher...no money to add to it at all !:T
  • Well I now have enough of the Time Delay wipes (thanks to the free £5 facial voucher :) ) to last until the end of summer thanks to some canny spending!!!! And still have 2 more vouchers to use....

Not a fantastic subject, but thought this may be useful to parents out there. I bought a Nitty Gritty (you guessed it! NitFree Combe) that I have heard parents rave about from Boots £9.99.

Been wanting to get one for ages but never had the 'need' recently. Saw it in the Boots mag bought one today and also got the £5.00 skincare voucher! So effectively £4.99 :) Had to spend about £24.00 last year on 2 bottles of headlice shampoo to treat us all with just because dd1 had them! Wouldn't want to use the shampoos regularly anyway.

Pharmasist got really excited telling me how good it was and how everyone she knows with kids has one. Apparently its so good because it has micro spirals on the metal teeth which get the eggs out. Packaging claims to remove ALL head lice, nits and eggs 100% effective with a lifetime guarantee. And it's also Chemical free!

Sorry, not the most glam of subjects. But too good an offer to miss with the voucher!

You are a great sales woman Im going to buy one of these now!! Can you tell me if you are meant to comb the hair routinely with it or only use it when you have the DREADED ....... ?

    Highlighter and 3 for 2

I've done this twice with no problem at all, although not this week! I took the items to the main tills each time, and had other products as well. I didn't do it deliberately the first time, as I wanted the mascara and foundation anyway.

    Highlighter and sale items
Done once, the till beeped, but the sales assistant said that she would take off the price of the highlighter manually as the voucher clearly said with any No 7 product.

I do wish that Boots would think about the terms and conditions that they print on their vouchers, and not try and change them at the tills. I'm prepared to stick my ground and politely request that they stick to the deal as offered. I don't go over the top, and I don't try adding vouchers which say that they can't be combined, for the same product.I have even asked on occasions, and the sales assistants have said that if they are offers for different products, that is fine, but not say three vouchers for something free, money off and points for the same item! I do think that if they print a voucher that clearly says that the item is free with any No7 product and no mention of the words 'not with sale items' or 'not with any other offer' then they should stick to that!

I agree, it clearly states "with any No7 product" and there are no exclusions. Did the free highlighter deal today, No7 consultant said it wouldnt go thro till, called supervisor who read back of coupon and agreed it should go through! No 7 lady was polite but said it was a crazy offer where you spend 50p and get £10.25 product free. I agreed as did supervisor but she continued to put it thro manually for me! I then pushed my luck and asked if I could do a 2nd one for my friend (who was standing in the background embarrased):o
No broblem supervisor said :D , didnt dare look at No7 lady! As we finished No7 said "this is the last time we will be doing this :rotfl: !!!!!!!!!!!!

I get the Time Delay Wipes at £3.99 too. They are really good general purpose make up removers. I use them on my daughter when she's been playing dressing up and using her play make up...she's six!

    Hi Jo

I'm a newbie from Hull drawn into the snare of Bootsing:rotfl:

Anyone tried the store down Whitefriargate yet couldn't make it with my goodies from Prospect Centre :rotfl:

    Hi Rubylou!!

I'm a newbie bootser too - well sort of! Been building up points and stuff for a while now but didn't know there was awhole forum dedicated to us bootsers! I love this place - I am well and truly addicted to bootsing now - especially after my bargains yesterday from prospect centre! I haven't tried whitefriargate but nothing left in Hessle at all - nothing at Kingston Retail Park or Kingswood and heard on here nothing at Beverley so unless us Hull'ians are going for a day trip to another town - our bargains in the 75% sale may well be over :(

Have you had much luck Rubylou!?!

Hope to see you out bootsing soon.

    xx

The Time Delay wipes are great, £3.99 so nothing to pay. I also like the Time Delay Instant Eye Brightener £5.50, so 50p to pay, "adds radiance and conceals dark circles" so it's good for any age, a little goes a long way.

PS. I tried the No7 3for2 with Highlights voucher again today, 2 packs of Quick Thinking wipes, one Highlights plus voucher, only paid for one pack of wipes plus got yet another £5 skincare voucher. SA said it works with No7 items that are less then the Highlights price ie: under £10.50 as the till gives the cheapest item free. I didn't risk it at the No7 counter though, I used a general till.

If you use a nit comb just make sure you smother the head in conditioner first because it works even better. Ensure that you do this at least every other day for a couple of weeks to be on the safe side.
  • I was recently going to buy a nitty gritty comb after hearing how good they were and my daughter had nits. Asked my dr for one on prescription and i got one for free. unless your dr is really mean then they should prescribe you one.
    now mum of 4!!!
