HM Forces contracted out pensions.

Does anyone know how to locate where my Royal Navy contracted out pension provider might be? I have had nothing but useless info from UK Veterans AFPS at the moment.

Not sure from your question if you think there is a separate 'contracted out pension provider' and are looking for that? If so, there isn't one to find; your RN pension benefits are all included in the (one) scheme.daviedevs said:Does anyone know how to locate where my Royal Navy contracted out pension provider might be? Think you've misunderstood. You contracted out of the additional state pension, those contributions instead went into and boosted your Armed Forces pension. There is no other provider.daviedevs said:Does anyone know how to locate where my Royal Navy contracted out pension provider might be? Please tell me you didn't transfer out your preserved AFPS benefits to a private pension......1

If you are not getting best information try here:
pensions

Also https://forcespensionsociety.org/2025/09/veteran-pension-tips-from-the-team/:
Keep an eye on your pension entitlement: If you have a Preserved/Deferred pension entitlement and are not yet in receipt of it, you can request a forecast each year by completing and submitting an AFPS Form 14 and returning to Veterans UK.

The information may not be useless. It maybe that you just don't understand what they are saying or are confused.daviedevs said:Does anyone know how to locate where my Royal Navy contracted out pension provider might be? I have had nothing but useless info from UK Veterans AFPS at the moment.
There is no seperate contracted-out pension provider. You wouldn't have contracted out into a personal pension. You contracted out using the defined benefit scheme (AFPS). Despite both methods being referred to as contracting out, the way they are implemented is very different.
