Morning Gers, morning allMisty, wet and miserable looking out there this morning.Staying in today, a bit of hoovering to do and trying to find a reasonable travel insurance quote. Some of them are coming out with an extortionate rate.Enjoying the athletics on the tv most afternoons, leaving it on in the background.Have a good day all x12

Morning all
Another crazy mad day of ‘doing’ yesterday, mostly outdoors to beat the weather.Today is due to be wet all day so on the cards is some craft work, bathing Bdog, having my hair cut and taking Bdog for his weigh-in (I’m estimating he’s lost about 150g 😂) and doing the shopping.Take care all

Good morning all and thanks for starting us off @Gers x
It’s a bit soggy here in Suffolk but we will be going out to Woodbridge, Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings today. We enjoyed Colchester yesterday and took the park n ride which was fab 😊 Pizza and salad for tea later - nice and easy.Have a good day everyone

Morning two - it's the same here @Chrisca.I had a good trip down to Glasgow and back yesterday. My friend had booked the Tutankhamun Experience as a surprise for me. It was interesting, the technology involved in the immersive room was outstanding, creepy crawlies running across the floor and sometimes the walls was fascinating - mind you I didn't sit at the part of the room which had the huge spiders! The telling of the story was superficially done, the real 'show' was the technology involved in it. A good morning out followed by lunch at the wee Italian cafe which had sustained Alan and I during the awful COVID year. I was back home by 5.00p.m. and in bed by 8.00p.m. Haven't watched GBBO or Sewing Bee, that's for later today. This morning I have a parcel to post for the family in Oz so, as the cleaner is coming, I'll do that up in the small town. I don't need any shopping as I'm off on Friday for the weekend, mostly travelling and in Belfast, so I shall show unnatural restraint!Take care everyone, keep warm as autumn rolls out. Hugs to all.13

Good morning all
Raining, again. Can whoever ordered this rain please cancel it?
Waiting in for a delivery, then may go to Lids to pick up my free veg. No idea what's for tea, may pick something up if I go out.
Today is my DDs 15th wedding anniversary, where has that time gone. To celebrate they returned to Butlins where they first met.
Nothing else to report, have a good day all, take care.12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. This miserable weather seems nationwide this morning. I couldn't believe how dark it was outside when I got up, not helped by torrential rain. That seems to have eased a bit now.
Yesterday's lunch with DF was a disappointment. We each chose pasta and got the smallest portion ever. Never mind, we had a good catch up with a few laughs in among. She's far from well with heart problems and her DH is a constant worry to her too which won't help.
Today is bus trip day. Doubtless Skipton as usual but I can't imagine many traders setting up their stalls in this weather. I am hopeful of spotting a couple of jumpers and some jeans on our travels. Of course lunch 'n a bottle of wine is compulsory and hoping the meal is better than yesterdays! As usual there will be much chatting done.
As the weather is showing no signs of improvement for the foreseeable I have decided to have a final week of the season at the caravan and bring home the belongings I keep here for the winter. So I'll be off sometime this w/e.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care and stay dry!! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning everyone
It's a wet morning here too but forecast to cheer up this afternoon.
I haven't posted for a few days - I had little one over the weekend and then I've been busy getting the Pip forms done. Pleased to say I got them finished and photocopied last night so I'll get them posted this morning. Hopefully I'll have more success than a couple of years ago.
I had a lovely weekend with little one with lots of lego building, colouring and game playing. I took her to her friends' birthday party on Sunday afternoon - I know the family and most of the children there from nursery. Little one had a great time on a bouncy castle and inflatable slide.
Gers immersive experiences seem to be the thing just now...last time I was in London with eldest DD we went to a fashion show one, we enjoyed it but both thought it was very expensive for what it was...we'd have preferred to see real people.
Right I'd best get moving - I'll go down to mam and dads this morning then for a little bit of shopping and to the post office. Later I need to go into town to collect a prescription and I'll have a look round the charity shops.
hopefully I'll have time today to either read my book or open Sundays paper.
Hope you all have a good day x12 -
Morning all, thanks Gers. Awful day again, we seem to be paying for the nice summer! Going to pop upstairs to see if I can find some waterproof pants before I go out with LDog. Yesterday DH and I had the longest walk he's done so far, up to the park for a nice coffee and a slice of cake for him.I forced myself to alter the linen pants, they look a lot better on me now.Beef casserole for later, I'll do it in the electric pressure cooker in a bit and once it's done leave it on the keep warm setting. Will give DB2 a ring later, they got back from Cyprus yesterday. Nothing else of note so hope you have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11

Morning all
We got back late last night shattered after a long day of travelling so we slept very well and OH is still asleep now.
We had the most amazing time away we relaxed, ate far too much, went swimming in the sea every day, went on quad bike adventures and had many lovely meals and many wines 🍷 it was so hot every day did not go below 30 deg so it was a bit of a shock getting off of the plane last night to lashing rain 😳
Back to reality now and I have the first wash load in the wm, I think it will be working overtime for the next few days. DD did a shop for us to last a few days so no need to rush out. I think we will have a chill and rice tonight as we are both craving spicy food a bit.
I hope everyone has been ok here.
Have good days all and take care xx

Another one with rain and it’s forecast all day I hope the weather picks up for next week when we are away although we will find plenty to keep us occupied I always think well it will be the same weather at home.
