Wait until ACI write to you. And if they advise it's sold, ask for evidence of the default.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • Thankyou, they have written initial letter and emailed but no evidence for a default so I will ask for this.

It's possible the account has just been assigned to them?

They are just collectors as far as i know. My Nationwide account was assigned to them and they sent me a few of their standard threat letters before giving up when I ignored then.

Ignore everything until you hsve evidence that the debt had defaulted, then start paying if you hsve enough of an emergency fund built up.

Keep in mind, debts do not have to default to be sold.

If Perch Capital have bought it, they will have assigned it to ACI to collect on their behalf.

Keep checking your credit report for the default, see what the letter from ACI says when you get it.
