Early good morning. I'm off down to Glasgow, not sure if I'm coming back today or tomorrow. Hope all are well.

Morning, thanks for starting Gers.Hope your journey goes well, mind how you go.
It's wet here, not raining, but has been. I never did get out to tidy the garden and the back yard, they look a thorough mess. I'm going out this morning, but there's nothing planned for tomorrow. Might do it then.
Hope everyone's all right. Take care folks.13 -
Morning allStill a bit windy here but not as bad as yesterday.Off out to big retail centre today for a wander round to see if there's anything in the sales worth buying. Never had a knife sharpener in my kitchen so after trying to peel potatoes this weekend with my, now, blunt one I need a new paring knife and will get a sharpener too for future use!Have a good day all x13

Thanks for the start Gers, have a good trip.Yesterday was one of those days where I couldn’t tell you what I did all day, but I didn’t stop, barely sitting down all day.Today will likely be similar. It was wet and wild yesterday afternoon onwards so there is the inevitable leaves and windfall apples to clear. Plumber is supposed to be popping in as my immersion heater isn’t heating. And there’s the campervan to clean inside and out. I’ve been awake since 530 and probably should have cracked on with some jobs but I’m making a concerted effort at reading more so have managed a couple of chapters and downloaded some books for my Kindle for my next trip (N Cornwall, I think Coxy asked).Have a good day all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Have a safe journey. It's already a better day than yesterday when we were battered with that wind and rain most of the day. The garden looks even worse than it already was! This morning the sun is shining with not a breath of wind, although rain is due later.
After my marathon batch cooking session yesterday I am meeting my DF for lunch today so someone else will be doing the cooking for a change! For one reason or another it seems ages since we had a meet up so lots to catch up on. We do catch up by phone/text/email in the meantime but that's not the same as face to face.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all. Bright and sunny here atm and should stay dry all day.
I've got a few bits of life admin I need to do; been putting it off for a few days. Otherwise it's just general house stuff today. We bought a huge pack of mince at Costco yesterday so need to split it up for the freezer and will make a chilli with the remainder. Autumn/Winter meals are coming for the fore now. Yesterday I made a marmalade cake and some oaty biscuits but they'll soon be eaten.
Last night we did a guided walk of MK City Centre, led by a former member of the Development Corporation. It was very interesting and has withstood the test of time quite well, seeing as it's almost 50 years old and would have been planned from the late 1960s. Tomorrow we are doing a similar free walk around a different part of the City; a small village where we used to live, which has the UK's first Buddhist temple. It's National Heritage week so these events are free but it's the first time we've found something to join in.
I hope everyone else is recovering from their ailments; look after yourselves.11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers safe journey to Glasgow xx
DH seems to be brighter this morning after being a total grump yesterday. Just as well as I’m going away with Mum for a few days, staying in Suffolk. We will stop at Colchester en route. Hoping to visit Sutton Hoo and Lavenham. Just need to pop a few toiletries in a bag and will be leaving in about an hour. Luckily the wind has dropped as was fierce yesterday.Unlike @AlwaysAllie I can tell you exactly what I did yesterday - spent 4.5 hours trying to take DS1’s dog home due to a broken down car (not mine) and multiple roadworks. Usually takes just over an hour return. Enjoy Cornwall Allie xx
Have a great time shopping @Chrisca50 and enjoy your lunch @TravellingAbuelaNot sure what’s for tea but will pick up supplies o
en route.Have a good day all

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the good wishes, my ankle is getting better, it's still quite swollen but nowhere near as painful. I made us of mum's walking stick which I'd kept, it's an adjustable one so it was ok even though I'm a few inches taller than she was.
On Saturday we met Chris, Crystal and Nate in Ely, Steve's sister was with us as well but I spent most of the time off my feet. Steve and his sister enjoyed the Joni Mitchell tribute and yesterday she went home on the train.
I want to sort the drawers in the bedroom, I'm sure I have stuff that needs recycling or donating and I'll be able to do most of it sitting down.
Enjoy Suffolk Coxy, Lavenham is beautiful.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning everyone just got in from a cleaning job hubby gave me a lift there and back trying to rest my foot but it is improving slowly. It’s dry and bright here today yesterday was wet and windy but we managed to dodge the showers but they were heavy when they came. Chops with mash and veg tonight. I’m going to pack a few things today to go away at the weekend it’s nothing dressy it’s just dog walking gear and waterproofs but it will be nice to be away. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all, thanks @Gers for starting us off today - have a safe journey.
Well, that was a wild and wet day yesterday with rain lashing down and gusty winds for most of the day. Today looks slightly better and at the moment it's bright blue sky and sun, no wind at all, but there will be rain at some point. Daytime temps 16 deg, 11 overnight.
Like @AA, I can't always remember what I did but I do know I ordered the present for DS and his DP. However, I was thwarted over the fairy lights as apparently they're not available for delivery so click & collect it will have to be - but not this week. In fact, I'm already having second thoughts so I'll hang fire on that one for now.
Nothing of importance happening today, just the usual housework stuff. Today's freezer release is a couple of crumpets for lunchtime (anything out is better than nothing out
) and I'll have to pad out tonight's pasta sauce with some sliced mushrooms as there's not as much there as I thought. I'm looking forward to tonight's final of Sewing Bee and don't have a preference as to who the eventual winner is, nor would I like to guess.
Have a good day, healing thoughts for our poorly ones and hugs where needed/wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9
