Use to love games as a kid

Now I barely play them and I miss them.
Sure games and music helped my mind be happy.
Haven't had a pc for years or a console!
I used to love games like championship manager, the settlers, counter strike.
Should I try and get back into it or is everything different now?

If you like computer games, then get a computer and play them. I loved the Sims, and after time away now play the Sims40

If you want to get back into it then you have missed decades of games, pick up a PS4 or Switch, go back a generation, you can get a console for under a hundred pounds and pick games up for less than a fiver, trade them back in when you are done with them. Gaming can be a cheap hobby if you do not want the newest games or the highest settings, equally you can easily spend a month's wages on a high end PC and buy every game at launch for £60+, entirely up to you.0

The OP, in various other threads, appears to be concerned about budget/costs and currently without any means of playing these games would require to spend more money. This may be an issue for the OP.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -

Ultimately the OP has some choices on how they prioritise their money, I'm not judging them.0 -

If money is a factor and you don't want / need a powerful PC for other reasons then you will probably find that consoles are more cost effective. If you're happy playing older games you can pick up older consoles cost effectively.
Careful playing newer games that have just been released. While the cost of a base game hasn't increased that much over the years, more successful games have a deluge of paid for DLC (Downloadable Content) that significantly increases the cost of gaming. Game publishers tend to push this model to make more money out of players.0
