Hi All

We're getting married as per the title of this thread.  I just wondered if anyone on here has recent experience and could pass on any tips?

Our main interest is in where to have the Reception.  And we're wondering if there's a big difference in price between (1) having a wedding elsewhere and just booking the meal/evening do at a venue and (2) having the actual wedding there too.

We've both got poor health so we're trying to keep things simple, i.e. the idea of having everything in one place.  If we do everything in a hotel, the bride and bridesmaids can stay the night before and bride and groom the night of...

Any suggestions will be appreciated.  Thanks in advance

How many guests?
Budget?
Travel arrangements and accommodation needed?

Are you wanting to go down MSE route and family/friends help plan cater decorate etc?

And if you're wanting to cater some elements yourself, a hotel that will allow this.

Edit: have you looked at Hitched?  There's this Holiday Inn offering various wedding packages (for example) which could include the ceremony
