Good Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers. Bright this morning but definitely autumnal (love that word!).
Washing was dry when I got home yesterday and I washed my hoodie from work along with a couple of dark items and they more or less dried, didn't put them out until just before 6 but it was nice and breezy.
Terrible night's sleep for me, it'll be a struggle at work today! I think there's too much going on in my mind - big family gathering this weekend too with most staying here. It'll be a squeeze but we'll manage.
I have brain fog and can't remember what everyone is up to so I shall wish you all well and hope your Tuesday is a good one.
Take care. XX11 -
Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's fine here, quite a nice morning. Yesterday was an ok day, not much planned for today, except a bit of shopping and the quiz tonight.
Hope everyone is ok and has good days.
Take care folks12 -
Morning allLooks like a lovely day out there todayWashing to put out later will dry nicely.Nothing planned today except someone is coming round this afternoon to give us a quote on replacing a small radiator in the living room with a larger one. Our downstairs is open plan and it takes ages in the winter to warm up so a larger radiator might help with that problem.Hope everyone has a good day x12

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A lovely start hereabouts with lots of sun on the forecast.
I got back from the van yesterday afternoon with all washing done and now dry. Now back on my lappie after 8 days of sausage finger fumbling on my phone so can waffle on again - sorry!. The fridge is looking bare so I might have to do a top up shop at some point. Plenty in the freezer so I won't starve!
I have left all my stuff there with plans to go again the last week of September but will see how the weather holds up. I had a traumatic last evening there though on Sunday night! DD came over and we went for our planned meal at the lovely (and expensive!) restaurant. She said shall I text J (the girls other gran and her ex MIL) and see if she wants to pop down and have a couple of drinks with us. She said she'd love to but was it alright to bring someone with her - her DS and DD's ex! Fortunately they have all kept on friendly terms so down they came from her van and it turned into a lovely evening until a giant spider ran across the floor at 100 mph. Aaargh both DD and I are terrified of them so her ex tried to catch it - and missed! It ran under a chair so chair was pulled out with no sign of the spider. Shortly after it appeared again and this time he got it and dispatched it outside. Sigh of relief until another one ran from a different direction. That too was eventually caught and put outside. He was a rubbish husband but he is a good spider catcher!
No plans for today but I should make a start on a garden tidy as lots of stuff looking half dead and bedraggled. No idea what I will do with it all as I cancelled the garden waste collection when it went up yet again! Now I am regretting my rash decision!
IZZY I hope you managed to get some help from a doctor yesterday. My late BFF suffered with it and she swore by Dr Sock Soothers (available on line but not cheap) saying they were the only thing that helped.
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx

Hello again. I've been very industrious in the interval, for a change.
Yesterday I was so annoyed at myself for not doing any washing as the day turned out perfect for drying. Last night I changed the bedding and even turned on the machine so that this morning it was all done. Now it's hanging out moving a little in the breeze. The day is forecasted to be dry and sunny, the last one for a while. I'm rewarding myself with some proper coffee!.
The class was good yesterday morning though I was rather tired after my weekend of carousingand my shoulders are feeling their age more than my knees. After it I drove up to the big town to post off a wee parcel to my closest friend for her birthday today, it's gone special delivery so it'll arrive before 1.00p.m. That'll teach me to be less tardy in future.
No ideas about today yet apart from a committee meeting this evening (not joy)Welcome back @TA - I was giggling at your spider episode and happy that they were evicted. Enjoy Ikea @Coxy - shudder at the thought of the shop.I hope that everyone is doing well despite the autumnal weather creeping in. Hugs to all.11 -
Morning everyone
Lovely blue sky and sunshine this morning - yesterday it was forecast to be sunny but it rained till early afternoon, I put my washing out when I got home from work and it dried really quickly.
I'll iron it this morning and start filling in the pip forms, I keep putting it off as my hand gets very painful when I write.
I'm planning to have a cuppa with my friend just over the road after work today.
TA at least he was good at something! Good decision - it's often lovely at the end of September.
I hope everyone has a good day10 -
Morning all.
I'm back from Swanage but have picked up a cold so fed up about that. There are things that I need to do so will plough on for now. Have some washing to hang out, as it promises to be a dry day. After that I plan to change my phone, do some food shopping and make a hair appointment.
Hope everyone's day goes well.10 -
Morning all, thanks @Gers for the start. We're in for lovely weather today with sunshine in the main, a bit of cloud in the afternoon but no rain expected, light winds and highs of 20 deg. Shame I don't have any washing to do! Yesterday was pretty good too, apart from a heavy rogue shower that appeared at school pick up time in the afternoon.
The cobwebs in the stairwell were evicted yesterday as planned and after that I made two small banana loaves, one with a few chocolate pieces in it. While I was doing those, I made a decision to part with a very large baking bowl that was gifted to me by an ex-neighbour many years ago when she was preparing to downsize. It's served me well but it hasn't seen the light of day for a good while and as I'm unlikely to need it any more, it can leave the house for the CS.
Today's excitement is the grocery delivery with just one sub that I'll keep. It's not arriving until early afternoon so I'll just do a few pottering jobs while I'm waiting - there's always plenty of those! Tea tonight is a chicken, cheese & ham kyiv with salad.
@Coxy - Have a good pre-birthday night out. Don't get lost in Ikea!
@TA - Had to laugh that ex-SiL is a good spider catcher!
Right, I think it's time for a coffee then I'll start pottering. Take care all and enjoy whatever the day brings. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
