Kensington mortgages experiences

Hi, we are looking to apply for a mortgage in the next couple of months but before we do I just wondered if anyone would be kind enough to answer a couple of questions about Kensington mortgages (we have a dip from them)

Which credit reference agency do Kensington mortgages use for the hard credit search?  I'm going to look at my report and see if I can tidy anything up!

also, I am in my arranged overdraft by about £800 at the moment (5k limit which I've never ever gone close to) has anyone been accepted by them being in an arranged overdraft before?

thanks so much, I'm just trying to get sorted as much  as I can to avoid a declined application if possible!
thank you so much x

If you need to use Kensington I don't see how using an arranged overdraft is your major worry.

  • I had some past issues with my credit file but that was approx 4 years ago and got a couple of defaults so that's why I'm using Kensington.

Defaults on your file will trump any 'clearing up'.

I imagine you have already spoken to a Broker so let them guide you.
