Just applied for bankruptcy

I submitted my application for bankruptcy today. I know the agency have 28 days to make a decision, but could anyone let me know of the actual approximate timescale? Days? Weeks?
I have had a letter from a bailiff saying they will be visiting at some point, and am worried that they will turn up in the next couple of weeks and remove my furniture and take my car (worth around 2k), which I rely on as no public transport in my rural location.

In any case dont answer your door to anyone and park your car away from the house.0 -
I hope bankruptcy was the best option for you and you didnt rush into this because of the letter from the bailiffs.
Without any idea what the debt is that the bailiffs are trying to collect, there is nothing useful anyone can say here, for example, some debts are not included in bankruptcy.
If you see this comment before 1pm on Saturday, I suggest you urgently call National Debtline on 0808 808 4000, who may be able to reassure you.

Bailiffs can`t take anything if you don`t allow them inside, keep doors locked, they can`t force entry to private property unless they are carrying out an eviction, with a court order, which I`m guessing is not the case here.
What was this debt for, and how much is your total liability?
Bankruptcy orders are usually granted for straight forward cases within 48/72 hours, but it obviously depends on how complex your case is, if there is property involved, any business debts, if you have assets etc etc etc.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
