Morning all
my halifax defaulfed a year ago and been paying cabot £20 a month. They have written to me to say they want me to do a budget again to try pay more
Do i need to do this? I have offered to pay £30 now but there still

No you don't have to do one, or you could do one that you tailor to get to the figure you are able to pay, as long as it isn't ridiculous they won't know it isn't accurate.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

Yes just tell them no, if they persist then invent one to shut them up, remember they can't look at your current account to see eg. how much your gas bill is just don't make it obvious it's invented. Remember never show them your bank statements.gerrard88 said:Ah great thanks

These debts sound quite recent, have you looked at affordability complaints against the original lenders?0

PayPal credit defaulted me in December 2024 and Lendable defaulted me in March 2025. I havent heard anything from them either...
It can be a bit disconcerting.
Others have defaulted me more recently and sold the debts and I am now paying them.
I suppose some companies just take longer.0 -

Presumably you have a Statement of Affairs (budget) and have been running this long enough to understand how recent price increases affect your situation? And what you left out on your previous versions?
Once you take those account do you have more or less available for debt repayments?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
