Good morning @Gers thanks for the start x
I was falling asleep on the sofa last night so went to bed at 9pm and was wide awake at 3am 😭 Managed to doze until 7am. DH went to see/stay over at friends so at least I didn’t disturb him
when reading between 3am and 4am!!
We are due dry weather today so will tidy the garden up. I arranged an 0cado delivery as they were offering £15 off a minimum £80 spend. Have got some bits for the freezer to take advantage of the offer. DSis and BIL coming for tea later. We have a second shower (yay!) but can’t use it until tomorrow to allow the sealant to properly go off. This will make such a difference in the mornings!
Annoying about your colleague @camelot1001 but lovely to hear of gardening enthusiasts!!
Enjoy Swanage @WickedLady4 another one for my visit list!
Oh that sounds so painful @IzzyBee. I know there are stretching exercises you can do - would help to have a yellow pages sized pile of books as an aid, place ball of foot on it and stretch down.Bless your dad wanting to make the lady a cuppa @dp1 xx
Lovely to have a day of craft @YorksLass. If it’s not TMI, I have to confess to repairing 4 t-shirt bras this week where the jersey cup covering had come away. Bras aren’t cheap so I restitched them and they will hopefully be good for a while yet.Glad you were able to return the hearing aids without a fight @Chrisca50 x
Right need to go strip the bed and get a wash on. Have a good day all

Will get out in the garden later and tidy it up after all the rain we've had and check how many runner beans we've got but will pick them tomorrow for dinner. Making chocolate cake later too. England playing tonight too so will look forward to that.Have a good day all x10

Good morning 😊
It’s been a busy start, so far. I’ve done all the living room, and the sofa blankets are in the wash. I’ve changed some of the bedding, and that’s on the line already. Mopped the floors in the bedroom, the living room, and bathrooms. Just having a coffee, then will vacuum the stairs. It’s the only place we have carpet, and it attracts every bit of fluff, or my hair. Not a job I like doing.
We had the WSL first match of the season last night. Sadly, our team lost, but they were playing Chelsea, so we expected it. We’re travelling to Manchester next week for the first home game, so hoping for a better result.
For a change, I have no idea what we’re going to have for dinner tonight. I am going to Aldi this morning, so will see what I pick up there. I’m thinking I might have a mushroom lasagne, but will decide that once I get back.
Hope you all have a good day 😊9 -
Morning everyone
I woke with a migraine so got up to have breakfast so I could take a tablet. The washing is out as we're forecast a nice day today .
Little one is coming up later today - we need to go to the library to collect her certificate and medal for completing the summer reading challenge. She'll stay for a sleepover - I'm looking forward to all her chat about being back at school and what she thinks of her new teacher.
She'll be impressed with me- I've taken some salmon out the freezer for our tea.
Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning everyone yeah to the second shower Coxy so worth it once it’s done I’ve been doing all my excercise for my feet this plantar fasciitis is something I’ve on and off for years but I don’t know if I’m getting soft in my old age but yesterday I was near to tears with it I could hardly walk I sat through the back in the charity shop and just priced things up so it’s going to be a day of rest today . I’ve been to Lidl and the butchers I’m going to mop the kitchen floor and it’s jacket potato and something tonight I don’t know what yet I will have a think I want to put a couple of things on Vinted I sometimes do alright with it but hate the faff of listing. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all, it's cloudy here but dry atm. Will take LDog out in a mo. He has a lot slower start to his day re food & walks than dear old Ly1a did, although he is looking at me now meaningfullyWe still can't go to DGS football matches yet, it's not until later but we can watch live video footage thanks to the special camera. Then DS1 will drive me to pick up DS2,DGD and her friend to go to the stadium to watch the town team.We usually meet DB2 & family but they are enjoying a hol in Cyprus this week.DH will watch at home.I'd forgotten about the England match @Chrisca50 - thanks for the reminder. Shame about your team TTB.Italian meatballs for tea with an Italian foccacia from M/s that DS1 particularly enjoyed last time we had it.Glad you enjoyed your crafting day @YorksLass .I think it's time to think about making my X cards but I'm certainly not going to post as many due to the cost, it's a shame.Right, better get my walking shoes on- have a good day all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning All
Dry but overcast this morning, bedding on the line and the towels and undies have just finished so will peg them out and cross my fingers!
Yipee to the shower Coxy, you'll all be queuing up tomorrow! Like you I went to bed at 9 but made it until 5 so I got up and did the ironing.
Hope your foot eases Izzy.
Enjoy your visitor dp1, glad you had a good holiday. Had to chuckle at your Dad!
Have a good time in Swanage WL, last time I was there I was 11 on a week long school trip - that wasn't yesterday!
I've just been shopping and will be going to Glasgow in a bit for the Tutankhamun experience. It's a bit expensive but a friend wants to go so I'll see what it's like. We may go for something to eat after.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good weekend. Take care. XX6 -
Good afternoon everyone, it's a late one from me today as DS popped in for an impromptu visit this morning. General chit chat plus breakfast together so, by the time he left, the morning had been and gone! Dry so far with sun at times, cloud at others, rain not expected. Supposedly a bit warmer too - maybe it is outside but not inside my house.
I'm trying to hold off until October before putting the heating on but if needs must ...........
All weekly admin done yesterday including booking a flu jab for 1st October. I'm thinking about changing banks as the two I use are both being transferred to other banks, one by the end of this year and the other early next year. I'll have to do some research first though as to who with and think about if it would be better to have everything with the one bank.
After such a late start, I doubt I'll get much done today but at least I've decided on what to have for tea.An easy one - soup and a couple of mini wraps filled with chicken, stuffing and salad. The PJs, trousers and boot slippers I ordered are being delivered this afternoon so I can try those on and, if everything's OK, get rid of the packaging.
@Coxy - You're right, bras aren't cheap. Earlier this year I "mended" three by sewing modesty panels in them. Nothing wrong with them except they weren't getting worn as I kept falling out of them when I bent down. Annoying and not comfortable! Now back in use.
@dp1 and @Izzy - I hope your aches and pains improve soon.
@Rosy - I don't think people do send as many Xmas cards nowadays, thanks to the cost of postage. I need to start a couple of small cross stitch kits soon if they're to be ready for Xmas - bookmarks for DS and his DP who are both avid readers.
@mehefin - Glad to hear your "date" went OK, Even if it's just a friendship, it's nice to have a "Plus One" for outings.
I hope everyone's plans for the weekend go well and, if you're not going anywhere, that it will be a restful one. Take care, hugs as usual. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8
