Hi all

For many years I have been buying products that I do not like (or my opinion is they are sub par) etc. I generally just don't buy them again. However, with the rising cost of living I thought - WHY am I wasting MY money?

As an example I recently purchased an expensive fabric conditioner that was rubbish.

So .. I wrote to the firm (online portal on their website) and gave my feedback . I was not complaining as such, just given feedback.

They asked for pictures & barcode of the product which I sent. Anyway, I was sent some vouchers by text. To be redeemed in certain stores. It was a bit of a faff but I used them.

I have since sent 'feedback' to 2 other companies when dissatisfied. One sent an SAE to return the product for testing & advised they will send a voucher. Waiting for other to reply.

I will carry on doing this when dissatisfied with a product.

I was wondering - does anyone else do this & the success rate

Thoughts? 🤔

Personally I'd just share out the item on Olio or similar - someone else may actually like it, or be happy with something rather than nothing if otherwise unaffordable.

Storing the item and tracking down the address, writing, packaging etc would be too time intensive for whats likely a free <£5 item which I may not even want.
