Just an update on my situation.
Employment I been offered a full time job once my 6 month contract ended, so now have stable income.
Bounce Back Loan 17k sold off the debt purchase company (Not on credit file)
Tesco Loan 10k Defaulted on Nov 2025
Santander loan 4k Defaulted Jan 2026
Santander loan 7k -Not defaulted- Had communication think its close to, they gave me breathing space again
Marbles credit card 5k sold off to Link debt purchasing Dec 2025 NOT defaulted yet
Capital One credit card 1.8k
Vanquish credit card 1.4k
All of the above is currently on a payment plan through a debt management agency c£250 a month
Barclays card 900 - Was paying off £70 a month no interest , now i have to pay interest as of last month
Halifax credit card 3k- was allowed to pay off and use that card, last month all a sudden they decided to cancel it without notice( think they must of done a random credit check) Raised a complaint last week
On top of that I have 3k for underpayment for HMRC currently paying £30 a month , this agreement is due to end this month and they mentioned they happy to accept a £110 a month repayment.
So alot of uncertainty hence my plan was to get them on a DMP to slow down the process on further actions.
Read my Debt management agency and speak on my behalf to defaulted and sold off debts on a full and final repayment, am still early in the stage , whats reason and situations can we be in to get maximum discount. Originally I was planning to pay off Halifax cc, Barclays ,capital one & Vanquis = 7k and let the rest default but still in 2 minds

"All of the above is currently on a payment plan through a debt management agency c£250 a month"Please tell me you are using one of the free debt charities, and not some faceless, fee charging debt management company you found on Google?

I suggest you put all the debts into the DMP now, the fact you have a sensible payment arrangement for the tax arrears is good.
There is no difference between a few defaults and several more. Go for the easy route. Also good to start paying more to the BBL, it may not be on your credit record but a CCJ from it would be.
Have you looked at affordability complaints for the other loans and cards?
