I can confirm Marshall Ward debit your account with the full amount and then credit your account with the amount for the codes. Certainly what happened to me on the kettle.

I ordered the nokia 6300 last week usign the £20 off code + free del. However I got charged the full amount, after emailing MW they told me that the code is only valid if u open a credit account. Not to be flogged off, I explained that there is no mention of this on website & the fact that after you have chosen credit card as payment, it lets enter the code & accepts it. As they charged my credit card, they have accepted my order. Explained that if there was a problem with the code, they should have emailed me before processing. They have now arranged a refund on my card for the £20 + £3.50

Dont be put off by their emails. If they have charged your card, then they are accepting your order.

So this is where the thread ended up. :rolleyes2

Many thanks to OP and Hotdeals too.

    Got mine for £39:beer:

MWs accounting system is a little ott,....:undecided

I paid by credit card and there were 3 transactions made by them on my card, all on the same date, ( day of despatch), appeared on account 2 days after despatch.
    1)... £3.50 post
    2)... £59.. for phone,
    3).....£23.50 refund. in that order

They sent phone out 4 days before expected, and I was going to refuse to accept if charged full price. Luckily I wasn't home for the first attempt to deliver, the transaction showed on my card the next day so I knew the price I was getting it for by then.:D
