Letter Before Claim - Moorside Legal

Fines_suck

Hi MSE,
New here...
I have received a LBC from MSL dated 14 August 25, it gives me 30 days to pay meaning my time is fast running out, leaving me about a week to resolve. I have been looking into how I can avoid paying this and there appear to be several different ways/oppinions.
I am self employed, in the process of mortgaging, and do not need a CCJ.
What is my best position here in order to respond to the letter but avoid paying the charges?
Note I have 6 fines, 5 for failure to pay (of which I believe 3/4 are genuine and 1/2 were app related issues as when I pay via the app i usually get a loading screen with the circle in the middle spinning and nothing else happens) and one due to me parking about an inch over the parking line because the car adjacent had practically parked on the line.
I have so far ignored all PCN's, final reminders and debt recovery letters, now issued the LBC and expecting more if I don't pay up.
What is my position here given the number of PCN's issued - do I treat them all as separate or will these all be collated as an argument for Moorside NCP in court?
This is the first LBC I have received and obviously expecting more.
What would be your advice relating to the above - any assistance is greatly appreciated.
TIA

Look at the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, SECOND post
Email the LoC template response to Moorside Legal then await the claim form pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL
Any future court hearing would be next year sometime2 -
Thanks I have this saved, should I keep the 30 day delay paragraph in the response or leave out?0

I would not say I'm not good with the defence side of things and probably not best placed to argue a defence but I have to in order not to pay.
What are my options here?0 -
Remove the delay but keep in the personal details for the correct service of papers, to you at your address
The defence is already written for you by coupon mad in announcements in the defence template thread
You will only be altering one or two paragraphs, based on other similar cases, so you won't be starting from scratch1 -
I've already written your defence. It makes them discontinue in the end, usually. No hearing is likely.

Thanks for the advice 👍2 -
Would you suggest sending via post, recorded delivery, or email?
I cant find email address for them, but found this on the website:
I would like to dispute the debt.
To dispute a debt of which we have notified you, please call our contact centre on 0330 828 5850 where an agent will be able to assist and advise of what to do. We will review all disputes made by debtors and seek instructions from our client. We will inform you of the decision and any next steps in due course.
Once a decision is made we will not reconsider any disputes and will not discuss further. If you would like to further dispute the debt, you are able to do so by filing a defence with the Court once proceedings have been issued. Guidance on how to do this is available on HMCTS Website
Is this just the usual scaremongering?
Given the fact I have 6 PCN's for the same car park for 'No payment', this being the first, I can't simply plea 'I forgot to pay' for all of these, can I? Probably over thinking here, but if all 6 do get to the point of court and I have to defend where do I stand?0 -
Definitely email for your LoC response
