hiya could anyone help
i dont use my breadmaker all that often-bad bad janey-but when i do im finding all the crust very crusty and almost inedible.
ive tried buying all new ingredients but it is working out too expensive to keep trying new ideas and failing at them

Do you take it out of the breadmaker straight away ? My crust seems softer if I leave it a little while first.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

ive taken it out straight away and left it in for a bout 5-10 mins but when it cools is still too crusty

I have exactly the same problem, I know that does not help you, but you many have saved me money if this problem is solved! I was about to buy some books of amazon to try and get to the bottom of it!The sign of a wasted life is a tidy house, Welcome to the chaos!0

What sort or breadmaker is it? I have a panasonic, and in the recipe book there are 3 recipes for a 'sandwich' loaf (white/wholemeal/granary). These are designed to have soft crusts - and do!
I think the main difference is that there is more milk powder used and a longer baking time.
