September Grocery Budget for Two, £150.
Grocery shop at Aldi. Oranges and cabbage were on offer. They had wholemeal bread flour for a change £1.09. We are well stocked for coffee beans, we have a pot of filter coffee after breakfast. Fewer eggs from the hens now the days are getting shorter.
£30.36 spent.Total Spend £115.02
Spends for me, last three toilet rolls of the 48 box - £1.95, then I'm going to start going halves with DD1 on a box
Two of the last yubi bars £2, and £5 odd in Waitrose on butter, flour and something else (I've forgotten)
So will call it £9 and alter if necessary.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 Jul £134.25/£150 Aug £119.37/£150 Sep £138.81/£150 Oct £/£160 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. September Grocery Budget for Two, £150.
DH bought milk £1.65 and broccoli 79p at Asda on his way hone from bowls.
I used up some long life milk to make rice pudding with raisins, finishing the cooking by turning off the gas and covering the saucepan safely with the oven glove and a small towel to keep in the heat. (I must make a new hay box.)September Groceries Total, £117.46.

My final Asda for September came in below the delivery total of £40 so I had to find something else to buy - not for me the sensibleness of getting some washing tabs or toilet roll, something that lasts - no, I decided what I needed was cheese! So 2 nice blocks of cheese later and a couple of undelivered items and my last total dropped to £39.60.
I then spent £10.40 in Tesco finalising what I needed leading to a very satisfactory:Total for Sep - £323.97/£320
October Grocery Challenge £94.52/£400
September Grocery Challenge £324/£320
August Grocery Challenge £388/£4002 -
A last spend of the month as DH informed me this morning he'd run out of shower gel and deodorant. I did try to gently point out that letting me know when it's near running out is probably more useful but forward planning is not his strong suit!
I also picked up some sweets while I was there and spent a total of £5.97
That leaves me at £196.11/£200 for the month which I'm very pleased with.2 -

Spends of £15.36 at Her@n. I got some discounted heinz beans, dairy free ice cream, malt loaf, crisps and some spice mixes.
DD2 who has moved back is a big snacker and eats little and often. So, just a few items til we can get into a routine again. Hopefully I can start making some bits myself.
