Summer is here and this is your chance to learn how to BBQ, first in London then in San Antonio, Texas, thanks to The Avenue Cookery School and North America Travel Service.

The first-round prize is 1 of 12 places for a night at The Avenue Cookery School in the 24th September 2025, a family run business in Wandsworth, where you’ll hone you BBQing skills with the help of mother, daughter and son team – Diana, Sophie and Richard. The Avenue Cookery School run sociable cooking classes, ranging from kids and date night classes to evening and weekend classes and private and corporate events, with a view to teach people of all ages and abilities an understanding of food.

The winner of the Grand Prize will be drawn live at The Avenue Cookery School evening out of the 12 attending.

The Grand Prize is a fantastic holiday for two where you’ll BBQ in true Texan style and experience the wonderful city of San Antonio. The prize includes return flights from London to San Antonio, Texas, six days car rental, two nights each at the Hotel Valencia, Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa and Mayan Dude Ranch, Bandera complete with ranch activities. Winners will also receive a true BBQ experience at Pinkertons Barbeque including dinner and a tour of the pitroom with one of the pitmasters, Old Town Trolley Tour tickets, Amazing Mirror Challenge and Magic Saloon, Natural Bridge Caverns experience and Go City San Antonio Explorer passes. This will be the holiday of a lifetime!

Grand Prize:

1. Entrants must be over the age of 21, UK resident and eligible to travel.
2. The prize package is being provided by Visit San Antonio in conjunction with North America Travel Service. North America Travel Service is a trading name of Kennedy Travel (Yorkshire) Ltd, 93 Water Lane, Leeds, LS11 5QN. Registered in England No. 1325708.
3. The 7-night San Antonio prize package includes:
   1. Return flights from London to San Antonio, Texas (economy seating).
   2. 6 days’ car rental (economy model).
   3. 6 nights’ accommodation
      • 2 nights at Hotel Valencia, San Antonio (breakfast included).
      • 2 nights at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa, San Antonio (room only).
      • 2 nights at the Mayan Dude Ranch, Bandera (room only).
   4. Activity tickets/passes/vouchers for each the following:
      • Pinkertons BBQ – 2-person experience including dinner and pitroom tour.
      • 2 tickets each for Old Town Trolley, Amazing Mirror Challenge, Magic Saloon and Natural Bridge Caverns.
      • 2 x Go City San Antonio Explorer Passes, allowing winner to visit up to 3 attractions (1 premium & 2 standard).
4. The prize package can be booked to depart any time up to 20 December 2026, subject to availability, and excluding travel blackout dates on selected peak periods, including, but not limited to, UK school holidays and UK/USA public holidays.
5. All flights and accommodation are subject to availability. If the accommodation listed is not available an alternative of a similar standard will be offered.
6. North America Travel Service and Visit San Antonio reserve the right to amend the prize package or substitute one of equivalent value in the event of circumstances outside its control.
7. Travel insurance, visa fees, UK transfers, personal expenses, spending money, and any meals or other incidentals not specified as included within the prize package are the responsibility of and at the cost of the prize winner, as are any upgrades requested by the winner.
8. Winner must provide a valid credit card at accommodation check in.
9. The designated car driver must be 25 years or older and hold a full, valid UK driving license (or equivalent). The driver must provide a valid credit card as security deposit and to cover any additional charges incurred.
10. UK citizens require a full passport and an ESTA for travel. Passport and visa requirements for citizens of other countries may vary. It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure both travellers have valid passports (recommended validity of at least 6 months after your return travel date), ESTA and any visa required. Passports, Visas and ESTA are the responsibility of and at the cost of the prize winner. North America Travel Service cannot be held responsible if the prize winner or any of the travelling party fail to obtain the required travel documentation.

12. The prize must be booked by 19 December 2025.
13. The prize is non-transferable; the named prize winner must travel.
14. There is no cash alternative, and the prize cannot be redeemed for cash, sold or in any way traded. The prize cannot be substituted or amended upon request.
