If you paid the same each month you are being paid on a monthly basis. In a 4 week month you will work 36 hours but be paid for 39.
In a 5 week month you will be work 45 hours but be paid for 39.Over the year you will work 52 weeks of 9 hours =468 hours
You will be paid for 12X 39 hours =468 hours0 -
If they are putting you on a salary you should be working the same amount of hours every week. Your contract should have automatically rolled over since employees are part of a business. You are nothing more than an asset that is owned by the business and since the new owner bought the business they also bought you and your contract. They cannot put you on a new contract without you agreeing to it. Everything about this is illegal which means nothing unless you are going to sue them. If you want to just work and stay employed I suggest asking them how many hours you are expected to work and what your monthly pay is and go from there. If you don't like it you can look for another job. You can seek out advise from CAB but it's pointless unless you go to court though a letter from CAB might change their behaviour.0

One company I joined used to pay people on a weekly CASH basis. This created cashflow problems as - I decided to switch to monthly and bank transfer - I had a meeting with all emplyees, explained the problems is caused and proposed that we paid 40% cash each week and on the last payday of the month we paid the 60% balance and overtime via bank transfer. They agreed a trial run and within a few months with their agreement had switched to a monthly system. The most unpopulay system I encountered was a 4 week month (13 pays days per year) - Imagine Christmas with no pay until January0
