PRA partial settlement

Myself and ex husband are in a personally managed dmp which is over 6 years old so defaults are no longer showing on our credit files. We both have debts with Barclaycard that were taken over by PRA group. His debt is £6,800 and mine is £14,800. We have just got divorced and are able to settle these debts with the sale of our house. We have both received letters offering settlement discounts. He has been offered a 65% discount from them which we have taken and I have been offered a 50% discount. I’ve seen lots of posts saying it’s unusual to get big discounts from PRA. Ex husband wants me to go back and ask for more as they offered him 65% discount but I’m inclined to accept the 50% as I don’t want to loose that offer. I just wanted to ask those with experience/knowledge whether you think it’s worth trying to negotiate a bigger discount or accept what’s been offered?
Thanks in advance

Have you made CCA requests? If they can't provide the cca then they cant enforce the debt and you can simply not pay it at all.0

Never settle old debts without first sending CCA requests, as above.
PRA Group will have paid around 15p in the £ for your debt, even at 50% off its still a big return for them.
If they can`t provide the correct legal paperwork, you can simply walk away and pay nothing, which incidentally would be what they deserve.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
