COOP CONFUSION

All Coops are not under one banner.
I visited two stores for offers being advertised and both said they did not do them.
Some stores must be franchised.
I presented my card at one store and was told it was the wrong one.
Can anyone please clarify at which Coop we use which card and where they do not participate in some of the offers?

Yes co-op have a franchise model but there are also independent coop societies that are not part of the Coop group but are affiliated to them They also own NISA convenience stores.
If you are looking at Members Prices then their website states: Member prices are not available in independent co-operative societies, some Co-op Live concessions stores, Co-op franchise stores or in non-Co-op branded stores (such as Nisa)
There's no simple way to find out online who operates an individual store

Yes there are different Co-ops but unless you tell us which Co-op's offers you are trying to use then it'll be hard to advise you about where to use them. The one with the blue membership card is (by far) the largest.
The biggest one (the one with national coverage of food stores and undertakers) is here
https://www.coop.co.uk/
but as you say there are other local societies and some franchise stores, where coupons & offers from the national Co-op may not be accepted.2 -
In my town we have two Co-op stores, one is run by the Co-op group, the other belongs to the Southern Co-op group. My member card for the former isn't recognised by the latter.2

A bit like the previous poster, I used to live in a town with a medium-sized Co-op supermarket that was run by one Co-op and a couple of Co-op convenience stores that were run by a different one.Which reminds me, I really must try to find my membership details.N.
