@[Deleted User] thanks for your reply - will get an SOA sorted over the weekend.

Nothing much to report from yesterday. I was back at work after a few days off so it was a bit manic catching up on everything.

Walked into town at lunch to pick up the remainder of DS school uniform. Saved on parking, boosted my step count to the tune of 2 miles and didn’t actually take me any longer than driving there!

Made another vinted sale of £12.50. All sales this month are going towards DS birthday fund so his birthday will (hopefully) be covered by extras rather than detracting money away from the main account.

Pay day yesterday so routine payments have been made and the rest allocated accordingly.

Back to school next week - as much as I love having DS off I think we’re both craving a bit of routine!
  • Morning,
Back to school yesterday for DS and back to the routine for us all. I won’t lie it was a struggle yesterday but hopefully we’ll settle back into it all soon enough.

Vinted sales are standing at £90 so far, so on track with my £120 per month target. Need to get the latest item sent today. Have a box full of stuff to list which I need to get sorted.

Sat down with my Christmas planner and started looking ahead to Christmas, to get my head around what is needed from a financial point of view.

Focus for September is to try and drive our food shopping bill down. Currently spending £150ish per week for the 3 of us. Would like to get this down to £120 at least or ideally nearer £100. That includes all cleaning supplies and toiletries. Will do an inventory tonight to see what we already have and meal plan accordingly. Batch cooked some bolognese at the weekend which will do for1 quick easy meal per week.

Wins for the last few days…..
    1. Sold item for £37 - massive boost to birthday funds.
    2. Picked up some bits for Christmas that were on offer.
    3. House feels under control for the moment - little and often approach to cleaning and decluttering is helping!
  • Morning,
The weather seems to have well and truly turned her. Non working day yesterday, so dropped DS at school and popped to the gym for an hour. Then back home to a bit of housework and then spent an hour at lunch reading - which was wonderful! It’s something I really need to make more of an effort to do.

Posted the £37 eBay sale (I’m so out of touch with how this works now!) and received an email to say I’ll be getting a voucher for £15 off £50 spend which I dare say will come in handy for birthday / Christmas shopping.

Had a bag of books to get rid of - thought I’d experiment with the world of books app and have been offered just over £7 for 20 books. Not a massive amount by any stretch, but the process seems relatively easy (I drive past the drop off lockers every day) so we’ll see if the payment comes through hassle free. I have hundreds of books that I won’t read again so may be a good way of getting rid.

Wins for the last few days…..
    1. Gym and C25k done
    2. £7 book sales (taking target to £97/£120 for Sept)
    3. Luxury of a bit of me time to read
  • Forgot to add - another £ win, I put my big girl pants on and cancelled my physio appointments. I had them to help me recover from my injury during marathon training back in March. I must have spent £700 so far, but am thankfully now pain free so the onus is on me now to build the strength in my leg. The last few appointments have been pretty pointless so I’ve taken the plunge and cancelled. Weight off my mind as I think they’ll have had me carrying on indefinitely!
  • Morning,
The weather most definitely seems to be turning here - I do however love this time of year.

Work has been manic - thankfully I only work 22hrs, but for my mental health at the moment it is more than enough.

Payment for the books has been processed. They rejected 2 so final payment was just over £6. Not a huge amount really but it clears the space and it was a perfectly painless process, so overall I’m happy (even if I know they’ll be selling them on at 5 times what they gave me!).

Currently have the birthday pot sat at £96 with another £45 to come out in Vinted sales so very pleased with that. Will be listing more today so 🤞for more sales.

    Jobs for today
    1. Laundry (first load is in!)
    2. Change beds
    3. Tidy round
    4. Do some decluttering in the garage
    5. Post vinted
    6. Squeeze in some sort of exercise
    7. Post Vinted parcels
  • Morning,
Productive day yesterday with all jobs ticked off 😊.
The car is loaded with 3 bags of games and books to drop at the charity shop collection point and another 2 boxes of books are on their way to world of books. Should make another £6ish but I’ve realised I forgot to put one in so they may reject the whole box as minimum quantity wasn’t there.

Completed a 5k run/ walk - it was tough, very tough. Can’t get my head round how 6 months ago I found 15 miles far far easier than I found the 3miles yesterday. Got to keep going though I guess!

Back in work today - we’ll see what chaos the day brings 🤣
  • Hopefully they don't reject it!
