If you scroll down on that page then it has a bunch of reviews from people who have bought the unit!
Seems to be OK to me, but I would check out the AV Forums (https://www.avforums.com) and do a search for it! I dont doubt that someone on there will have had this TV and will have posted an in depth review of it!
Why do you need plasma? Have you checked out any LCD TV's? I know you dont get the same size for the same price, but LCD Tv's have a better picture quality and features over plasma. Again, check out the AV forums for views and opinions!0 -
Cheers, I did see the reviews, but since they are hosted the retailer, I wanted something independent
Will have a look at AV forums "There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children; one of these is roots, the other wings" - Hodding Carter

Ive been looking for a plasma for a week or 2 now and have also spent many hours on AVforums. It seems the folk there think these kinda tellys are poo ( some think ok though) . It depends what you read into the reviews I suppose.
General opinion though is to get a panasonic for a few hundred more. Best deal I have found is here , its a 7 series .

Hope this helps.

Hi Bowtonminx,;)
This is possibly a better deal as it has the stand, a dvd player and a home cinema setup for £999, you can see it in your localComputer Shop, out with the Wanderers at Horwich.
Address :Unit 13A, Middlebrook Retail Park,Bolton BL6 6JA
Tiny and Computer Shop are part of the Granville Group as is Time (Blackburn).

There is a Samsung with dvd recorder for £1195.

Cool, thanks guys. I will be taking the man with me this w/end to have a looksee. We're not in a rush and want to hunt down the best value for money. So it will be several w/ends traipsing through shops and looking at sites
Maybe I should rename this, hunt for the best plasma tv thread ? "There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children; one of these is roots, the other wings" - Hodding Carter

I'ld suggest panasonic 7 series plasma. This may not be the best option for future ready plasma, but PQ is stunning
It's worth looking into avforums as mentioned, will get lot of ideas about the whole package rather than going for a plasma with built in tuner / other packages0 -
You might also want to check out this deal:

At Richer Sounds, not a bad deal tbh, I was thinking of getting one of these myself before i deicded to get a 32" LCD.0 -
I suggest you do a web search for Tiny plasmas before even considering them..
And i thought their PC's had a bad name !!0 -

Sorry to be so vocal disapproving on this one but PLEASE PLEASE consider your position VERY VERY strongly before going anywhere near tiny/time/computer shop for a plasma - or at the very least equip yourself with an exceptionally long barge pole.
Essentially as far as I can figure their plasmas are cheapo imported ones (hence lies on their adverts as they say they manufacture their own plasmas in the UK) and are of an unacceptable quality, even for a low priced bargain basement (i.e. low end) item.
there's plenty of discussion about them here:-
