High risk electricity?

First of all there were security concerns about china being able to remotely control Chinese supplied inverters.
Now we find that the Americans are potentially a security risk as Tesla is applying for a license to supply electricity:
Block Elon Musk’s bid to supply UK home energy, Ed Davey urges | Energy industry | The Guardian
Musk has form when it comes to turning off infrastructure on a whim. It makes you wonder if Powerwalls are equally vulnerable

Are there any truly UK based/owned companies that supply energy or energy products that aren't at risk of being taken over?

There are several options for domestic PV that aren't internet linked, although they're not necessarily UK owned.
My Solis, Growatt and Sofar inverters, for example, are all dumb by default and require add-on dongles to connect. My Fogstar battery isn't internet connected at all.

Does he? Any evidence to back this up?

There's the well-reported case of Starlink being switched off to frustrate Ukrainian attempts to attack Russia, which Ed Davey refers to in the Guardian article.

So if no 28 arcadia avenue attacks Russia then Musk might cut their electricity off?

That's to do with a war - Totally different to what the OP implies in regards to Powerwalls potentially being switched off.

I wouldn't knowingly buy anything from Musk on moral grounds if we're talking about 'Green & ethical MoneySaving'

Spacex now has a 90% share of the orbital launch market so its difficult to avoid using his products.
5% China and 5% rest of the world.
They dominate because they are good and cheap (reusable rockets)
Personally i think he is a force for good, same as Trump but some people cannot see past their own bias to see the reality of the world today, as soon as someone mentioned the Guardian i knew we were in trouble.

I think I'd rather take my chances with Musk/Tesla than with China.
Same goes for cars - Tesla (or any number of Chinese brands) could easily brick (intentionally or otherwise) their electric vehicle with over the air updates.
We live in a connected world and we accept the risks associated with that.
