A morbid topic I know but can anyone advise on a cheap way to obtain a Will to ensure my family is looked after in case of the worst happening.
Thanks in advance

or WHSmiths do packs
or Citizens Advice Bureau
or GOOGLE will
need not be expensive or very complex - my 1st will fitted on one page of A4I am not a financial advisor. Anything I post is basically just random stuff from my head. Digest it as you will. Being free of debt is good. Banks control us through debt. Caveat Emptor. Ignore anything I say. Oh and don't copy it either. Cheers. I'll have a Guinness extra cold.0 -
If your affairs are relatively simple get a quote from two or three solicitors. It will not be expensive. My wife's and my own 'mirror wills' which are slightly slightly complicated cost £175 plus VAT a year ago. Do not do a DIY will or try and do it on the cheap as it will almost certainly cost your estate money if you do. My wife worked for a solicitor and saw the expensive results of this cheap way time and time again.0

Visit the Institute of Professional Willwriters at https://www.ipw.org.uk to find a qualified, regulated and insured professional in your area. Most will visit you at home and provide a better and cheaper service than the average solicitor.Public wealth warning! It's not compulsory for solicitors or Willwriters to pass an exam in writing Wills - probably the most important thing you’ll ever sign.

If you are in a union and your affairs are simple they should provide a free will writing service that uses solicitors.
Use a professional like a solicitor or will writer as they will ensure your will is written to prevent problems down the line i.e. not giving the right names of people or charities.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
