RSS for NHS Scotland retirees - I am confused

I retired in 2020 after paying into the pension fund for 20 years. Yesterday I received a letter re RSS and I'm totally confused.
The way I read it my perception is that it's better to choose option B which is CARE rather than staying with my current pension which is option A.
I'm not a stupid person but pensions, tax etc confuse me so looking for some advice as to what to do 🤔.
Thank you

There's a lot of reading to do:

If you read https://pensions.gov.scot/sites/default/files/2025-05/Remediable_Service_Statement_%28RSS%29_Member_Guidance_NHS_31032025.pdf and https://pensions.gov.scot/2015-remedy

but the information you've been sent should enable you to take a decision - and your perception may very well be correct. It's impossible for anyone here to comment in the absence of all the relevant (and specific to you) information and figures.

Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Aren't you only being given a choice about which scheme to be in from April 2016 onwards, so the last 4-5 years of your service.

The first 15-16 would remain the same.
