HI Jimithon So am I right in thinking you are in the same position as me. That this 6 year rule applies to class 2 for me also. I really find all this confusing. I did get a message on my mobile on a Sunday and then again on a bank holiday Monday from the DWP but took that to be a scam. I would of thought they would get in touch by letter due to security. I guessed there would be a long response due to demand.So I will just sit tight. Thanks for the responses.

That was more a think it may rather than a definite does,  I seem to remember it coming up before and the rules come from several different acts and manuals which I've not researched in detail.

Sounds like you’re abroad and hoping to pay Class 2 contributions as you were working in the UK before leaving and then working abroad. That’s a totally different situation and the 6 years were rule isn’t applicable here.
