Hi all.
Got a voucher yesterday in matterbox for lovefilm trial, but abit worried about any smallprint.

When you register, you have to give credit/debit details, do they take any money out at all???

How easy is it to cancel at the end of the trial???

Would be grateful for any clarification.

its very easy to cancel you just go to the canel button in your account options

There's no problem with cancelling with lovefilm. Just make sure you press the cancel button in your account options about a week before your free trial expires. Then make sure you return all your dvds and anything else BEFORE the expiry date of your free trial otherwise they will charge you a rental fee.

they may well take £1 out for verification purposes, but it gets refunded back again straight away when the transaction is complete. they don't take the subscription fee while you're on the trial at all.

as a general point, they did used to take cancellations over the phone through an indian call centre but i think they ended up stopping it because whenever i used to ring up to cancel the "Buy one month, get two free" offer, i was invariably offered another one there and then to run consecutively - which i always took.

not quite free, but 6 months worth of unlimited dvd rentals for the equivalent of £1 a week can't be sniffed at
