    Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply to my query. I fully appreciate the answers and helpful suggestions given.

    I did ask if I was entitled to any of my husband’s pension but as he passed in 2018 at the age of 59 the answer was a resounding no.
    It looks as though I might have to wait a little while longer for a reply regarding the HRP (frustrating as it is) and depending on the outcome I’ll decide then whether to make an official complaint.
