Staying with existing lender or change

I am moving house. The mortgage I have at the moment is just in my name and will be ending on the sale of this house.
What I want to know is are there any benefits of staying with the same lender for my new mortgage which will be with my partner? Does it make anything quicker or easier because I've already been with them for a long time? The difference in cost between them and the cheapest is very small so it's not an issue to stay but I just don't know if it's beneficial or not.
Many thanks

Would be beneficial if your current mortgage was portable and you were on a good deal. Otherwise I can’t see it making a difference, unless you were otherwise using a broker who charged fees.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
