Updraft/ ACI predicament

I had two loans with UPDRAFT one for 20k and one for 8k. I wanted to default on all my credit cards and loans which I decided to do last year. I did receive a default notice from updraft (around May 2024) for both my loans and I had assumed the defaults had been recorded when I started to get letters from ACI. I started to make small token payments weekly to ACI at the beginning or this year to ensure no further action is take with them, which they seemed happy to accept. However, just yesterday I checked my credit file (with all 3 agencies) and I noticed the two loans with updraft were settled last year (which they weren't by me) and also there was no mention of the loan balances registered under ACI or Perch. So these outstanding balances literally are not showing as any debt on my credit file. So, I'm now sitting thinking do I just stop paying the debt as it is currently not enforceable (with no default registered) or do I just continue to keep making the token payments to ACI and hope the debt never appears on my credit file at all, which is essentially a hidden debt?

It sounds as though the debts have been sold. The new creditor will add them to your credit report at some point. A default notice was issued, so the debt is enforceable. The fact that it isnt on your credit record is irrelevant, so its probably best to carry on with the small, affordable payments.. Have you looked at making an affordability complaint to Updraft?

They often get marked settled when they change hands

It is enforceable atm and I agree with the above about an affordability complaint.

At some point you might want to do a formal cca request to the new owner. If they can't comply then it would be unenforceable at that point.
