    OP if a company is treating you like this you should just leave and find something else. You will not be happy there even if this ends and they will continue trying to mistreat you to get you to leave.

    With less than two years service this is largely a moot point. Despite ACAS guidelines (statutory procedures were abolished many years ago) a more relevant question would be "What useful redress could I / he get if this doesn't happen"). 

    Short answer - none!
