Hi, just wanted to know whether anyone who has guinea pigs uses a local supplier for bulk hay/timothy hay, as opposed to buying from pet shops. Thanks!

Used to get ours from the local farm supplies shop.

I found buying it in bulk from agricultural/equestrian suppliers was dubious on quality. There was a lot of coarse material which my kids GP's didn't like so they ended up lying on it rather than eating it. The pet shop stuff tended to be finer and much better quality, albeit more expensive.1
