The Gym Group "Change home gym" membership PRICE hike w/ Loyalty PRICE promise

So I've had my current Gym membership for a VERY long time. When The Gym Groups gyms were fairly new. I signed up for a membership that guaranteed the price 'forever' at £20.99 per month.
However, at some point the company changed the full multi-site access to this system where I have to first add an additional gym through my account, before I can go in rather than just use my gym PIN.
Because of this, my "home gym" isn't the closest to me. I want to change my "home gym" to a nearer branch. But when I attempt on the website, it shows a price increase for my monthly payments from £20.99-£38.99, an £18 bump that's almost double!

Is there any way I can change my home gym while avoiding this? I've just started exercising again after a long break (while still paying) and want to keep the same price.
I have kept records and emails from The Gym Group where they guaranteed a "Loyalty price promise" to keep my monthly subscription payments the same as long as I didn't cancel.
Should I contact their customer service? Has anyone else gone through something similar? Or am I stuck with a far away gym?
Any help would be much appreciated!

What difference does it make where your home gym is if you can use any of them? A bit of a fuss perhaps but worth £18 a month?
That said I'd definitely contact customer service and see if they can sort it for you.

Also with the current system, can you add an additional gym to the account without calling it your home gym? If you do, can you walk into that additional gym or is there any extra legwork?0 -
I'd contact customer service. It's possible an IT update or something like that has caused this issue, and there's nothing nefarious going on.
Perhaps just ask if your home gym could be swapped to the one you'll use most.0 -

I think this is a long shot to get what you want - change of "home" gym while keeping the "forever" price that you currently have.
Do the terms you have agreed to require that your "home" gym is the gym you use most often?
That is common with gym memberships and seems logical when they offer multi-site access. Looking at The Gym Group website, my nearest branch is £36/month and the second-nearest £32 per month. The differential pricing would be a folly if I could join the cheaper and then use the more expensive most of the time.
You are effectively asking to join a new local gym at the 2014 prices.
