Decision in principle with financial associate

Me and my OH have recently been looking at joint mortgages which we have established are not appropriate due to his credit. We initially did get one but unfortunately something else came up which meant they wouldn’t consider. My parents have now decided to gift me some money and We have decided I should apply for a solo mortgage and I have a DIP from nationwide who my mortgage has been with for the last 8years. We have had an offer accepted on a house and my flat has sold.
I have noticed today that a mortgage company has added my partner to my credit file as a financial associate. We have no joint accounts, bills, or loans together we both manage our money independently, mainly due to his credit score. I have applied to have him removed and not this can take 28days. My question is whether I should wait until he has been removed before proceeding any further with the actual mortgage application or whether it will be sufficient I have requested his removal.
This is our dream home and I’d hate to lose it. Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks in advance

Nationwide wont allow a single application where they have previously done a DIP jointly until it has updated I think.
So if you want to move forward now, I am 99% sure it cant be with nationwide.
