Morning everyone thanks for the start GERS I’m off out soon for a coffee and a catch up with my friend it’s supposed to be a nice day but up to now it’s very cloudy. Mehefin I’m pleased your procedure went well hopefully one less worry. Not a lot happening today I roped the hubby in to cleaning some windows yesterday he huffed and puffed and tutted all the time but he wasn’t getting away with it he’s like an overgrown teenager. Chicken stir fry tonight nice and easy and a dog walk later . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

All quiet this morning - I hope that it's because of lovely lie-ins. It's dark and dank here, not very inviting. After my trip up to the wee cafe yesterday I wasn't especially productive or energetic. This morning I'm off to the exercise class which'll shake me up.Today would be my late Dbrother's 74th birthday and is the 40th birthday of my youngest nephew too. I've already texted him late last night.I hope that everyone is doing well, My thoughts are with all the OHs who have had medical procedures and those with family issues. Hugs to all.13

Morning all
Another warm day in store here - just looked at the forecast and no rain due for another 12 days - hopefully that might change! Tomorrow is supposed to be 34C 🥵 . Seems like everyday is a ‘race’ to get outside things done before it’s too warm. Not so today though, optician appt this morning and ENT late afternoon (for the loss of smell/taste)…..they can’t do anything and I think it may be slightly better but after 18 months I no longer know if I’m tasting at full strength or not. Parking at the county hospital is awful, or rather getting out of the car park at going home time is….,I’ll go a little early and park at a nearby country park and walked over.Hope everyone has a good day and all the poorlies are improving

Good morning 😊
It’s the usual Monday morning clean up, today. There’s a few things still to do in the garden, so I’m planning to go outside shortly, before it gets too hot.
There’s some beef left over from last night’s meal, so I’m going to cook a spiced rice with vegetables, then mix it in. For myself, I will make a vegan chicken pasta bake, using up the leeks and celery that are in the freezer.
I finished The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides last night, and it was an enjoyable read. I like a twist at the end, and the book didn’t disappoint. My next one is going to be Unearthed by Joanne Griffiths, which sounds promising.
Hope you all have a good day 😊11 -
Morning all
Another beautiful day with temps set to get up to 26 deg later, dd arrived in Turkey yesterday evening and messaged to say it was still so hot, they had a quick dinner and then went back to their rooms as it was after 10 by then, she said the air con was blissful! It will be interesting to see what the temp is over there today.
I am off to mums today to do some work and she asked for a trip to Tesco this afternoon, I hope she still wants to go as she has not been out since she came out of hospital so a trip out would do her good I think.
Salmon new potatoes and peas for dinner tonight I have some dill butter in the freezer which I will put on the salmon, a nice light dinner for the heat.
I ordered our currency yesterday for collection tomorrow so I must remember to go and collect it.
I have put a wash on this morning so will hang it out before work, I will also run the hoover round.
Chrisca I hope your DH came home yesterday xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Good Morning Everyone
Thanks for the start Gers, it's the same weather here. Enjoy your class.
Yesterday was quite productive, a few things cut back in the garden and some pots emptied as the flowers were all finished. Took the bags of garden waste to the tip. Also got in a walk to allotment 2 with my friend and her dog, the weather was lovely and the potato crop quite good. Despite the terrible soil things have grown quite well really.
I'll pop along to DDs today with a bag of fresh veg for their return from an eventful holiday.
I may have to get myself sorted for the return to work on Wednesday - once again this is going to be a struggle, it's the same every year!
Glad your procedure went well Mehefin and lovely you had a catch up with your brother.
Love that you have a stroppy teenager Izzy!
Have a good day, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Forecast is for a hot day but currently cloudy with snippets of blue sky emerging. Feels pleasant until the sun gets out. And just when you.need it not a breath.of wind!
Its DGDs 21st today but not the day she planned thanks to the fractured ankle! They'd got an appointment yesterday at the nearest hospital to her boyfriends but they are transferring her care to the fracture.cliinic at one of the city hospitals not as easy to get to unfortunately but needs must.
I'm away home tomorrow so whilst it's still relatively cool I'll pack what I can and clean where I can as tomorrow promises to be even hotter at 29 deg. So not a day for toiling!
Have a good day folks if you can with (HUGS) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones and those awaiting hospital results. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all! Someone's coming to fix the guttering on the porch, not that it's needed for a while thanks to the weather forecast but needs must etc. Had a good catch up yesterday with friend from Australia, may see her again today before she's off on her travels. I made a step out the back in her honour so she didn't fall off the two blocks we had there, so thanks to her, we , or rather me, has a good sturdy large step to aim for...I will make another one in front of it too. That's a job for coooler weather though.Take care all today, got to go and do stuff before it's too hot...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11

Good morning everyone and thanks @Gers for the start. Today's weather forecast is for sunny intervals, light winds and highs of 27 deg, showers possible during the evening. Right now it's hazy sunshine but already feeling warm.
Yesterday I had a relatively lazy day, alternating between reading and doing some cross stitch during the day and in the evening watching the first episode of the new series of Ridley. I did manage to empty one tool box though. Some stuff was binned straightaway and the rest is divided into two piles - keep and pass on to DS/donate. I was thinking of doing the other box today but it might be a better idea to give the empty box a scrub first so I can put "mine" in there before tackling the second one.
Today I need to bake a loaf, put up clean net curtains in the bedrooms and pop the dirty ones in the WM. Tea tonight is bacon (needs using up), egg and hash browns, strawberries for afters.
@AA - Sounds like a full day of medical stuff for you today, commiserations.
@Ruby - I hope your DM enjoys her trip out to Tesco (if you do go) and that she won't find it too tiring.
@TA - Happy 21st birthday to your DGD. Such a shame you're due back home tomorrow - just when the weather is perking up!
Right, I need to make a start on the daily doings so I'll wish you all a good start to the new week. Take care, hugs as usual. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Hello all, another dry day today but I hope the sun remains out as it clouded over yesterday afternoon. I got all the washing dried and put away though, then cleaned the bedroom. Today I had more cleaning plans but Mr Fix It isn't well and gone back to bed, so my nurses hat is on and I'll just do some dusting so as not to disturb him. I took out a large pack of mince beef yesterday so I must cook that, but I will cook it in the slow cooker. Some will be eaten maybe tonight and the rest portioned up and put in the freezer. I have a jigsaw on the go so that'll keep me quiet.
Mehefin glad everything went well, fingers crossed the results are positive.
TA happy birthday to your DGD 🎂🍾
Take care all, stay safe in the heat.
