NatWest Mortgage Offer - Unable to change rate

Hi,
We recently applied for a 65% LTV mortgage through NatWest direct through NatWest (No Broker) at 4.32%. Everything went through smoothly and an offer was received within a a couple of days.
Due to the base rate going down on Thursday, the rates have now dropped around 0.12%. I phoned them up enquiring about this and they advised that due to us applying online, and not through a broker, there's nothing they can do. The only option is to cancel down the offer/application and reapply.
Has anyone else had any experience with this and had any success getting the rate dropped, is there anything else I can do?
Thanks in advance!

My mortgage rate has been reduced by Natwest from 4.49% to 4.26% . I used a broker though
