What is Predictor?
Predictor is a Premier League prediction game where you forecast the outcomes of seven matches each weekend.
How can I play?
The game is playable on web and app. Users must register to play.
What do I need to predict?
You need to predict:
- The outcome (win/lose/draw) for seven Premier League matches
- The exact minute when the first goal will be scored in one match. This is used as a tiebreaker only.
When can I make my predictions?
- Entries can be made up to 1 week in advance
- Predictions for each game must be made one minute before kick off. Eg if the match kicks off at 12.30pm on Saturday, you must make your prediction no later than 12.29pm
- You can edit your predictions as many times as you want until the deadline
What can I win?
There are two separate competitions:
- The weekly competition: predict the outcome of seven games to score points and win up to £1,000 cash
- The season competition: End the season with the most points and win up to £5,000 cash.
How to play
How do I make my predictions?
Simply select your predicted outcome for each of the seven Premier League matches and enter the minute you think the first goal will be scored in the tiebreaker match. You can also use the auto-fill option, which will automatically generate predictions for you.
Can I change my predictions after submitting?
Yes, you can edit your predictions unlimited times up until one minute before the match kicks off.
What should I enter for the tiebreaker prediction?
Enter the minute (1-90) when you think the first goal will be scored. If you think the match will end 0-0, enter 0.
Scoring, tie breakers and leaderboards
How are points awarded?
- Weekly competition: 1 point for each correct match outcome prediction (maximum 7 points per week)
- Season competition: 1 point for each correct match outcome prediction for the whole season (maximum 7 points per week)
What are margins?
Margins are used as tie breakers for the end-of-season prize. Your margin is a cumulative total over the entire season and is calculated each week. It is the difference between your prediction for the tiebreaker goal and the actual time of the goal, and lower is better.
Example: User A predicts the goal will be scored in minute 1 and the goal is scored in minute 50; his margin is 49. User B predicts the goal will be scored in minute 50; his margin is zero. In the event of a tiebreak, User B would win because the margin is lower.
How are goals in added time handled?
Goals scored in added time are rounded to the end of the relevant half:
- First-half added time goals = 45 minutes
- Second-half added time goals = 90 minutes
How are weekly competition ties broken?
If there is a tie, finishing positions will be determined by the tie break rules in the following order of priority:
- The user with prediction that was closest to the actual time wins
- The user who first submitted the prediction wins
If there is still a tie, the cash prize is shared
How are season competition ties broken?
If there is a tie, finishing positions will be determined by the tie break rules in the following order of priority:
1. The user with the smallest margin
If there is still a tie, the cash prize is shared
How do leaderboards work?
Users are ranked on a public leaderboard based on their performance. You can view your standing against all other players throughout the season in the rankings tab.
Leagues
What are leagues?
Leagues allow you to compete against specific groups of friends, family, or other users in addition to the main game.
How do I join a league?
You can join a league when invited to join by a member of the league. You can see your pending invites in the “Leagues” tab.
Can I create my own league?
Yes, you can create your own league and choose whether to make it public (anyone can join) or private (invitation only). There is no limit to how many leagues you can create.
When you create a league, you become its chairman. You can remove people from your leagues and view all of your leagues in the “Leagues” tab.
Do league results count towards the main competitions?
No, league competitions are separate from the weekly and season competitions.
Can I be in multiple leagues?
Yes, you can join or create multiple leagues to compete against different groups of people.
Do league scores work the same way?
Yes, the same scoring system applies in leagues as in the main game, but league standings are separate from the main competition.

https://predictor.dailymail.co.uk/help/terms-and-conditions-
These are the terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) that apply to the Predictor competition (the “Promotion”) promoted, run and administered by us, Associated Newspapers Limited (with the registered address of Northcliffe House, 9 Derry Street, London W8 5HY and registered company number of 00084121) (the “Promoter”).
By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees to these T&Cs (please pay particular attention to the limitations of liability in paragraphs 52 and 53 below) and confirms they have read and understood the Promoter’s privacy policy (available here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/article-1388040/Privacy-Policy-Cookies.html).
Eligibility
1. To participate in the Promotion, participants must be 18 years or over at the time of submitting any entry and legal residents of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). Residents of Northern Ireland are excluded.
2.Employees and contractors of the Promoter and the Promoter’s Group companies are eligible to participate in this Promotion for fun but are not eligible to win prizes. (In these T&Cs, “Group” means, in relation to a company, that company, its subsidiaries, its parent company and its parent company’s subsidiaries (each as defined in the Companies Act 2006) from time to time)). Subject to the above in this paragraph 2, the following persons are not eligible to participate in the Promotion in any circumstances:
a) any employees, contractors or agents of any company connected with the production, sponsorship or distribution of this Promotion;
b) any individuals associated with the Premier League (including players, employees and directors) where entry to this Promotion would amount to a conflict of interest or a violation of any applicable laws or regulations;
c) anyone else professionally involved or associated with the operation, promotion, sponsorship or administration of the Promotion;
d) members of the immediate family (e.g., spouse, parent, child, sibling) of employees and contractors of the Promoter and its Group companies and of any of the individuals set out in sub-paragraphs (a) to (c); and
e) persons living in the same household (whether or not related) as any employee or contractor of the Promoter or its Group companies or any of the individuals set out in sub-paragraphs (a) to (c).
3. Proof of eligibility must be provided upon the Promoter’s request. Where participants are not eligible to enter the Promotion in accordance with the criteria set out above, their entry will not be valid and they will not be eligible to win. The date of birth that participants provide in their Daily Mail account must match the date of birth on their valid photo ID to claim any Prize.
4. By participating in the Promotion, each participant warrants and represents (i.e. promises) that:
- they are eligible to participate in the Promotion, and that they have the right and authority to accept any Prize (as defined in paragraph 35) they might win, and that by doing so they will not be in breach of any agreement with or obligation to a third party;
- they have not done anything or made any public statement and they will not make any such public statement (oral or in writing) that could reasonably be regarded as derogatory or disparaging of the Promoter or its products or services; and
c) they know of no information, facts or circumstances related in any way to the participant that could reasonably be considered damaging or embarrassing to the Promoter by virtue of the association between the Promoter and the participant arising from their participation in the Promotion.
How to participate
5. It is free to participate in the Promotion, but participants will need to be logged into their Daily Mail account to take part. Participants can sign-in to or create a Daily Mail account https://www.dailymail.co.uk/registration/profile.html and may also sign-in to their account and participate in the Promotion on the Promoter’s mobile apps. No purchase is necessary to create a Daily Mail account for the purposes of participating in the Promotion. Please note that the participant’s Daily Mail username will be the name used on the Predictor Leaderboard. To change this username, participants will need to change their username within the Daily Mail account page. The Promoter reserves the right at any time to change the username and/or league name of, or disqualify from the Promotion, any participant whose username and/or league name is, in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, offensive, obscene, indecent, profane, abusive, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, derogatory, inflammatory, pornographic, sexually explicit, or in any way unlawful.
6. Participants may only have one Daily Mail account, and the account must be in the participant’s own name. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify from the Promotion and close down the Daily Mail account of any participant that the Promoter reasonably believes has more than one Daily Mail account or who has an account that is not in their own name.
The Competitions
7. The Promotion will run between 1st August 2025 and the end of the last Premier League match of the 2025/2026 season (the “Promotion Period”) and is made up of two types of competitions:
a) Weekly Competitions; and
b) the Season Competition.
Weekly Competition
How to enter
8. In order to enter a Weekly Competition, participants will need to:
- log-in to their Daily Mail account following the instructions set-out in the “How to participate” paragraph above;
- navigate to predictor.dailymail.co.uk/picks; and
- use their footballing knowledge to:
- predict the outcome for each of the seven (7) matches selected by the Promoter for that Weekly Competition by selecting either: (i) which team will win the match; or (ii) that the match will end in a draw (the “Match Outcome”); and
- predict the minute in which the first goal will be scored in the match selected by the Promoter (the “Tiebreaker”).
Opening and closing times
9. There will be thirty-eight (38) Weekly Competitions during the Promotion Period. The first Weekly Competition (“Weekly Competition 1”) will open for submissions at 12.01am (UK time) on 1 August 2025 (i.e. the first day in the Promotion Period). Each Weekly Competition that follows Weekly Competition 1 will open for submissions one (1) minute after the final whistle is blown in the first fixture of the previous Weekly Competition, e.g.:
- Weekly Competition 2 will open for submissions one minute after the final whistle is blown in the first fixture of Weekly Competition 1;
- Weekly Competition 3 will open for submissions one minute after the final whistle is blown in the first fixture of Weekly Competition 2;
- Weekly Competition 4 will open for submissions one minute after the final whistle is blown in the first fixture of Weekly Competition 3; and
- Opening times for Weekly Competitions will continue in the same pattern for Weekly Competitions 5 to 38.
By way of example only, if the first fixture in Weekly Competition 1 ends on Tuesday 12th August at 7.45pm, then Weekly Competition 2 will open for submissions from 7.46pm on Tuesday 12th August.
For example, where a Sunday match with a 3pm kick-off has also been selected as the Tiebreaker match, the predictions for the Match Outcome and the Tiebreaker must both be submitted before 2.59pm on that Sunday.
Where that Sunday match is also the final match in that Weekly Competition, then the closing time for that Weekly Competition as a whole will also be 2.59pm on that Sunday.
Scoring
12. Participants will be awarded one (1) point for each correct Match Outcome predicted.
13. The Tiebreaker will be used only for tiebreaker purposes in the Weekly Competition and will not earn leaderboard points in the Season Competition (see below). No points will be awarded in the Weekly Competition for correctly predicting the Tiebreaker.
14. The winner of each Weekly Competition will be the participant with the most points that week. Where two (2) or more participants have the same number of points, the tiebreak process will apply (see below).
Weekly Competition Tiebreaks
15. If multiple participants are tied on the same number of points in a Weekly Competition, then the tied participant with the most accurate Tiebreaker prediction will win that Weekly Competition. Where only one (1) tied participant has correctly predicted the exact time of the Tiebreaker, that participant will be the winner. If no tied participant has correctly predicted the exact time of the Tiebreaker, the winner will be the participant whose prediction is closest to the exact time of the Tiebreaker.
16. Where: (i) multiple tied participants have predicted the correct minute of the Tiebreaker, or (ii) if no participant has predicted the correct minute, multiple tied participants are equally close to the correct minute of the Tiebreaker goal, then the winner of that Weekly Competition will be the participant with the earliest time of submitting their prediction for the Tiebreaker (with the earliest time measured in hours, minutes and seconds). If a participant made changes to their Tiebreaker prediction during the course of the week, they will be deemed to have made their prediction at the time of their final submission.
17. If multiple participants are still tied, then those participants will be joint winners of the Weekly Competition and the Weekly Prize (as defined below) will be split equally between them.
Match Outcomes and Tiebreakers
18. For the purposes of allocating points and deciding tiebreaks, the correct result of each Match Outcome and the time of the first goal for the Tiebreaker will be as published in the Opta data provided by Stats Perform. All information published by Opta is final and no correspondence will be entered into on this subject or on the Promoter’s application of this data in accordance with the rules set out in paragraphs 19 to 21 below.
19. For the purposes of determining the correct minute of the Tiebreaker:
- if no goal is scored, the correct prediction will be deemed to be 0 minutes;
- if a goal is scored anytime between 0 and 59 seconds, it will be counted as happening at 1 minute;
- if a goal is scored anytime between 1 minute and 1 minute 59 seconds, it will be counted as happening at 2 minutes;
- if a goal is scored anytime between 2 minutes and 2 minutes 59 seconds, it will be counted as happening at 3 minutes; and
- this will then continue in the same pattern throughout the match except for goals scored in added time, which will be counted as happening at 45 minutes for goals scored in added time at the end of the first half and 90 minutes for goals scored in added time at the end of the second half.
20. Where no tied participants have correctly predicted the minute of the Tiebreaker, the most accurate prediction is the one which is closest to the minute that the first goal in the Tiebreaker match is scored. If no goal is scored this will be the prediction closest to 0 minutes.

Season Competition
How to enter
22. All participants who enter at least one (1) Weekly Competition during the Promotion Period will automatically be entered into the final season competition that will take place after the final match in the Promotion Period has been played (the “Season Competition”).
Scoring
23. Over the Promotion Period, all participants will accumulate one (1) point for each correct Match Outcome prediction made in each Weekly Competition (a “Match Outcome Point”) on the leaderboard for the Season Competition (the “Leaderboard”).
24. Participants can view how many Match Outcome Points they have accumulated and where they are on the Leaderboard by visiting predictor.dailymail.co.uk, logging into their Daily Mail account and clicking on “Rankings”.
25. The winner of the Season Competition will be the participant at the top of the Leaderboard at the close of the final Weekly Competition in the Promotion Period (i.e., the participant who has the highest number of Match Outcome Points). Where two (2) or more participants are tied at the top of the Leaderboard the tiebreak process will apply (see below).
Season Competition Tiebreak
26. Over the Promotion Period, participants will also accumulate a margin score based on how close their prediction for each Tiebreaker was to the correct minute of that Tiebreaker (the “Margin Score”). Margin Scores will be calculated based on the margin between each participant’s prediction for the Tiebreaker and the correct minute of that Tiebreaker.
For example: if a participant predicts that the Tiebreaker is scored in the 10th minute of a match, and the Tiebreaker is scored in the 5th minute of the match, then the margin between those times is five (5), and so that participant will have a Margin Score of five (5). If another participant had correctly predicted that the Tiebreaker was scored in the 5th minute for that match, then the margin between the times is zero (0) and so that participant’s Margin Score would be zero (0).
27. The aim for each participant is to keep their Margin Score as low as possible. In the event that multiple participants are tied at the top of the Leaderboard at the end of the Promotion Period, then the participant with the lowest Margin Score will win the Season Competition. Participants will be able to view their Margin Score throughout the Promotion Period on the Leaderboard.
28. If multiple participants are tied with the lowest Margin Score, then those participants will be joint winners of the Season Competition and the Season Prize (as defined below) will be split equally between them.
For example, if participant A, participant B and participant C are all at the top of the Leaderboard with a total of two hundred and fifty (250) Match Outcome Points, and Participant A and Participant B each have a Margin Score of one thousand (1,000), whereas Participant C has a Margin Score of three thousand (3,000), then participant A and participant B will be declared joint winners of the Season Competition, because they are tied for the lowest Margin Score of the tied participants, and the Season Prize will be split equally between them (e.g. if the Season Prize is £5,000 then Participant A will be awarded £2,500 and Participant B will also be awarded £2,500).
Rescheduled, cancelled, forfeited or abandoned matches
29. If a match in a Weekly Competition is rescheduled and the rescheduled match takes place at a time that is still within that Weekly Competition period (see paragraph 9) then that match will still be included in the relevant Weekly Competition and points will be awarded in accordance with the rules set out in these T&Cs. Depending on the time and date of the rescheduled match, this might change the order in which the matches are played, the closing time for entries for that Weekly Competition, and the opening time for entries for the next Weekly Competition.
For example: if the first match in Weekly Competition 4 was originally scheduled to kick off at 4pm on Sunday but is rescheduled to take place earlier than this at 3pm on Saturday, then participants must have submitted their predictions for that match by at least 2.59pm on Saturday (i.e. no later than one (1) minute before the new start time).
30. If a match in a Weekly Competition is cancelled, forfeited or abandoned or is rescheduled to a time that is outside that Weekly Competition period then the predictions for that match will be disregarded and instead each participant who submitted a complete valid entry for all seven (7) matches and the Tiebreaker in that Weekly Competition will receive one (1) Match Outcome Point for that match. This Match Outcome Point will be added to the relevant participant’s total for both the Weekly Competition and the Season Competition.
For example, if a match scheduled for Sunday evening is postponed until the following Tuesday (after the Weekly Competition has closed), or is cancelled or forfeited outright, or is abandoned after kick-off, then instead of awarding points based on the predicted outcome, every participant who submitted a valid entry in that Weekly Competition will automatically receive one (1) Match Outcome Point for that match.
31. If the match that is rescheduled (other than where it is rescheduled within a Weekly Competition week in accordance with paragraph 29), cancelled, forfeited or abandoned had been selected as the Tiebreaker match for that Weekly Competition, then zero (0) minutes will be deemed to be the correct prediction for allocating Tiebreaker Points and deciding a tiebreak process.
Prizes
Weekly Competition
32. The prize amount for each Weekly Competition will be at least £1,000 (the “Weekly Prize”). If there is more than one (1) winner of a Weekly Competition after the tiebreak process set out above has been followed, then the Weekly Prize will be split equally between all joint winners.
33. From time to time, the Promoter may (in its sole discretion) choose to vary the amount of the Weekly Prize. However, the Weekly Prize will always be at least £1,000. If the Promoter varies the amount of the Weekly Prize, it will publish a notification on the website and app at the time each Weekly Competition opens for submissions.
The Season Competition
34. The prize amount for the Season Competition will be at least £5,000 (the “Season Prize”). If there is more than one (1) winner of the Season Competition after the tiebreak process set out above has been followed, then the Season Prize will be split equally between all joint winners.
Prize conditions
35. None of the Weekly Prizes or the Season Prize (together, the “Prizes”) are transferable. Eligible participants who are employees or contractors of the Promoter or the Promoter’s Group companies will score points for fun and will be recognised on the Leaderboard in the same way as any other participant but will not be eligible to win a Prize. Therefore, if any such participant achieves a prize-winning position in a Weekly Competition or the Season Competition, the Prize will be allocated to the next highest-scoring participant who is not an employee or contractor of the Promoter or the Promoter’s Group companies (using the tiebreak process if necessary).
Winner notification
36. The winner(s) of each Weekly Prize Competition will be notified by the Promoter by email or phone call within one (1) week of the closing time for that Weekly Competition and will be given details of how to accept that week’s Weekly Prize.
37. The winner(s) of the Season Competition will be notified by the Promoter by email or phone call within one week of the end of the Promotion Period and will be given details of how to accept the Season Prize.
Claiming a Prize38. Winners will be asked to provide proof of eligibility (including their age) and their bank account details to accept a Prize. Accepted forms of age verification ID include: (i) an in-date photographic driver’s licence or provisional licence; (ii) an in-date valid UK/international passport; and (iii) an in-date Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card (please note that this must have a PASS hologram). Please note that no form of ID that that has passed its expiry dates will be accepted. Winners must provide all requested information within seven (7) days of the date of the Promoter’s notification.
39. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the provisional winners of each Weekly Prize Competition and the Season Competition, but it is each participant’s responsibility to monitor their email address (including spam folder) for receipt of the notification.
40. Failure by any winner to accept their Prize in the manner specified within fourteen (14) days of the Promoter's email or phone call may be deemed a forfeiture of the relevant Prize. In these circumstances, if the forfeiting winner was the sole or only winner, the Promoter may award the Prize to the next eligible winner(s) in accordance with the scoring system set out above (using the tiebreak processes set out above where necessary). If the forfeiting winner was a joint winner, the Promoter may distribute the forfeiting winner’s share of the Prize equally among the other joint winners.
41. Winners will receive Prize money via BACS payment to the bank account nominated by them to the Promoter.
42. By entering the Promotion, each participant acknowledges that in the event of a win, their surname and county of residence may be disclosed to persons enquiring, where permitted by law. Any participant may object to their information being made available in this way, or may request that the amount of information made available be reduced, by contacting the Promoter using the contact details at the end of these T&Cs. In these circumstances, the participant acknowledges that Promoter may nevertheless disclose the relevant information, and the participant’s entry, to the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (and/or any other competent authority) if required to do so. This may happen where Promoter is required to demonstrate that it has awarded the prizes advertised.
43. Provided no objection is received from the winners, a winners list will be made available by the Promoter four (4) weeks after the end of the Promotion Period, for a period of eight (8) weeks. To request the winners list, please email competitions@mailnewspapers.co.uk . Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority when requested by them.

b) declare as void any entries resulting from any printing, production and/or distribution errors (including but not limited to any error(s) on any website of the Promoter) or where there has been error(s) in any aspect of the preparation for or conduct of the Promotion materially affecting the result of the Promotion or the number of winners (or participants claiming to be winners) or the value of any Prizes;

In the event of cancellation after the closing time of Weekly Competition 1: (i) the Weekly Prize(s) for any Weekly Competition that is open for submissions at the time of cancellation may be awarded to a winner or winners in accordance with the criteria set out above at the point of cancellation or where this is not possible, drawn from all entries for the relevant Weekly Competition(s) submitted prior to cancellation; and (ii) the Season Prize, may be awarded to the participant(s) at the top of the Leaderboard at the time of cancellation (using the tiebreak processes set out above where necessary and to the extent that it is possible to do so).
49. Any attempt to damage or undermine the content or legitimate operation of the Promotion is prohibited and may also be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws. The Promoter reserves all its rights and remedies to deal with breaches or suspected breaches of this rule including, without limitation, to exclude any participant or winner believed to be associated with such activity.
50. No entries will be accepted in bulk, from agents or third parties.
51. All third-party trade marks and other intellectual property rights that feature in the Promotion are hereby acknowledged.
52. To the fullest extent permitted by law (and subject to paragraph 53 below), the Promoter hereby excludes all warranties, representations, covenants and liabilities (whether express or implied) relating to this Promotion and/or the Prizes.
53. The Promoter will not be liable for: (i) any loss, liability or damage caused by someone other than the Promoter or someone acting under the Promoter’s direct instructions and in accordance with the Promoter’s instructions; (ii) any loss, liability or damage caused by any event or circumstance beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control; (iii) any loss of profits or revenue, loss of anticipated savings or loss of goodwill; or (iv) any unavailability of the Promoter’s website or app. However, nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the Promoter's liability for:
a) death or personal injury as a result of its negligence;
b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

Posting is a privilege, not a right. This is a privately-owned site. Posting is a privilege, not a right. Any inappropriate posts or any issues that take up a disproportionate amount of resources or make it a worse place to be will be stopped at our discretion - with or without explanation. No one pays to use this site; when there are issues, we pay to resolve them. Sometimes we need to prioritise spending money on the site, other issues or better resources.Please be nice to all MoneySavers. That’s the forum motto. Remember, the prime aim is to help provide info and resources. If you don’t like someone, their situation, their question or feel they’re intruding on ‘your board’ then please bite the bullet and think of the bigger issue. A Guardian article once "doffed its cap" to this forum as being the one place where consumers can collect together and fight back. Our job is to help keep it that way.Facebook = FB | Twitter/X = TW/X | Instagram = IG | Threads = THS | Snapchat = SC
