Train ticket split ‘non-existent’ services?

I’m trying to book train tickets from Prestatyn to London on Sunday, August 17 and have checked out about half a dozen ‘split ticket‘ websites suggested by MSE.
What concerns me though is that some of the departure times they recommend, when I check them on the timetable at Prestatyn station and on National Rail Enquiries, the services don’t appear to exist, which makes me very wary of booking, to say the least!
For example, one of the cheapest recommendations involves catching the 15.16 train from Prestatyn to Chester but according to the timetable, this service doesn’t operate on a Sunday.
I’m just going around in circles here!

Site I use. Reason being its designed, operated and attached to a forum so if you have any queries or concerns someone involved with the system will respond.

Have you looked at using a normal, not split ticket and booking via a train operating companies website like LNER?0

Where were you seeing this and what route was suggested? Had a look at a couple of the biggest fare splitting sites for a Prestatyn - London on 17th August and I can't get any of them to offer me a 15:16 departure from Prestatyn (because as you say there isn't one!)0

Trainsplit isn't offering me any such service.

Are you sure you haven't clicked 'later' or 'earlier' in the results and found yourself looking at the previous/next days services?0 -
