Morning folks. Thanks GERS. A lovely start here, blue sky, sunshine and no wind. Will it last!
Highlight of yesterday was the promised arrival of the gas engineer! He explained the problem which .meant nothing to me! Having hot water was the main thing. Now awaiting his bill. The upkeep of the static far exceeds that of our original tourer.
Have a good day folks and take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -

Hi all
Thanks Gers for the start.
TA - Hope the bill isn’t too hefty.
Yesterday’s agricultural show was great - loads of animals to see, crafts, food and drink to sample, singing and dancing - a full on day. The weather was a bit mixed with some rain showers and much heavier spells fortunately on the drive home.Today having a meet up with a friend and a swop of craft stuff - delayed from earlier in the week when she was unwell. Will try and do some clearing up in the garden - were due another heatwave with 28C+ next week so outdoor stuff won’t get done then.Hope everyone enjoys the end of their week

Morning! Sunny! I'm going to the allotment today to fetch the three courgettes that have no doubt turned into monsters in the last few days and get rid of some of the prunings from the garden. Heart bloke is referring me to the arrythmia team to see about these palpitations, good, because they are getting on my nerves now. Scarlet, we did try a Mens shed but they never turned up when they said they would a few times. Suffolksue, yes, thank you for that, I've discovered they have volunteer collectors too not that far away so that's the next plan
The little fox that comes round has a big injury to her tail, looks like she lost a fight with another fox or a car, but no wildlife rescues can help, the local one is full and the next local one can only be called if shes lying on the floor in the daylight. Poor thing.
Izzy, I totally read that wrong then, I thought you said you were ptting the little dog in the washAllie, your day out sounds lovely, enjoy the craft swap
Take care all, make it a good one if you can!

Hi everyone,
April sun (hope that's right ex-Twink), nice to see you after these many years, there aren't many of the old guard left.
-taff, you wouldn't have said I was calm after seeing me yesterday afternoon and evening. Steve got it in the neck good and proper - I hate that he doesn't listen to me, especially when he switches off half way through a conversation and then does the opposite of what I'm asking him.
The children have been a bit challenging over the last couple of days, I think they are very tired after several days in child care. Esben especially is playing lots of sports. Steve, his sister, Laura and I are going to the funeral in Poole today so Brian is being left to cope alone, good luck to him.
Better go and get ready, we've got a three hour journey in front of us.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all - still rainy, cold and dark here. Yesterday I managed to get a towel wash out and nearly dry before the rains started. It got hung on the bannister and dried overnight. The wretched parcel was eventually accepted by Royal Mail, not their fault BTW. That was my only excursion, on the way home I picked up some salady bit again. I don't like having to buy a whole cucumber, probably should eat more of it each time but it really only adds crunch. In the afternoon I surfed around the net looking at holidays in the sun but then I'm not a fan of lying on a beach or by a pool so it was just window shopping.Today I have a meeting the the Provost, luckily he's a nice chap so all should go well. I've pulled together a wee bag for the textile dumpster so will detour to it on the way. Not much else apart from looking for cushions for the upstairs sofa.11

Morning all, usual thanks to @Gers for starting us off. Today's weather report is looking good - sunny and dry with top temps of 21 deg. Right now it's a bit breezy but there's not a cloud in sight.
@-taff - In answer to your question about where to donate tools, I can only come up with suggestions that have already been mentioned eg Men's Sheds or charities that send them overseas. There are a couple of Men's Sheds near me that I might try. Some time ago I did come across a local community tool library that welcomes donations they can hire out free of charge but annoyingly I can't remember what they were called and Google isn't helping either! Charity shops might take some but it's best to check first. Who knew tools could be so difficult to find homes for?
Diabetic eye clinic appointment for me todayand I'm setting off a bit earlier than needed as I have some glasses to deposit in Specsavers' recycling bin first. Friday admin to do when I get back, providing of course the eye drops have worn off by then! If not, that will be moved to tomorrow. Usual fish supper tonight, it's either cod or basa - whichever comes out of the freezer first.
Must dash but I'll pop back in later to catch up with all the news. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning everyone
Sunny here but very blustery again...I'm sick of hearing wind now.
Little one and I had a lovely day out yesterday - we were at the Life Centre for over 5 hours and could have stayed even longer, but we had a train booked. We went to the planetarium which she loves and watched a science show, which had fire. smoke and explosions and was also really well explained. She had a turn with everything there was and she even had a turn in the science lab doing her own experiment. I confess we fibbed and said she was seven to do the experiment...but I was with her and. as she said afterward, 'I will be 7 one day soon !'
I don't know if I've said but she has no feeds at all now, just one lot of medication morning and night ...it certainly makes it easier taking her out for the day...and the bag a lot lighter! Her sugars are staying quite steady, with only the occasional alarm. She's learning to manage it herself as she knows now what it feels like to be going low.
Right I'd best get moving. I've washing to put out...hopefully it will stay on the line and I'll go down the hill to do dads banking,
Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning all we're set for a lovely warm day, the prelude to a hot week !
Yesterday I was chasing my tail for most of the morning, nothing went right first time, but we did go for lunch in the GC. The portions are so big it didn't look as if I'd eaten anything. Today I have woken up with a bent thumb which will not straighten and is painful, arthritis probably.
I have to visit the village this morning to run a few errands and I hope things go better today especially Mr Fix It's meds which were MIA. We finally tracked them down to the pharmacy as the script was sent down electronically but we didn't authorise that, despite the surgery saying someone did ! Unfortunately the pharmacy don't have a phone number or email address to contact us so it could have sat there forever.
taff I hope you get an answer soon, palpitations are horrible.
Snoozer I hope the funeral goes as well as it can and Steve is still alive when you get back !
Yorkslass good luck with the retinopathy appointment today.
Gers I hope your meeting goes well too.
TA fingers crossed the bill is not eye watering. Enjoy the rest of your time at the van.
Right I'd better make a move I suppose. Enjoy your day everyone. Hugs to all.

Morning all
Lovely bright day here I have a wash on the go and will hang it out later.
I had a really good day with Matt yesterday he was on fine form, we went and groomed his friends horses and then sat in the shade in the horse field and had a cuppa, we then went home for lunch and he watched a couple of cartoons, we then had a walk and then came home to watch a film, he is feeling much more comfortable around me now, and once they get the screen fitted between the back seat and the front of their car I can start to take him out, it’s not a long term job as his mum is looking into residential for him but it’s well paid and will do for now.
Im hoping my labels will come today so I can label the jars in the larder cupboard I’m itching to finish it off.
Pizza and salad for dinner tonight, dd may be going out with her friend so may eat out but there is enough if she decides to stay in.
Snoozer I hope the funeral goes well xx
Have good days all and take care xx5
