Together Money Mortgages

Hi,
Does anyone have experience recently of this company? The buyer at the bottom of our chain is now using this company. The rest of the chain have been ready for 8 weeks now & we are still waiting. A month ago we were told they had been issued a mortgage but they needed to submit extra documents. This was done & then it took Together 3 weeks to review them. Last Thursday they were told full approval was given & we could exchange contracts today & they agreed to send the funds for the agreed completion date.
Now at the 11th hour their solicitor says she has just been informed that the client is required to sign a statutory declaration regarding their use of the property! This needs to be signed in the presence of a solicitor, posted back to their own solicitor so that they can then pass the original to the lender. This is so frustrating & worrying for the rest of the chain, as we have no idea how long this will take to be approved once they receive it! I just wondered if anyone had come across this & if they knew how long it will take for them to be able to exchange 😤
Thanks

Together are usually last chance saloon for someone. Their rates are high and they are thorough (ie take their time) but they do usually get there.
If someone is agreeing to pay their rates, they must REALLY want the property they are buying. I imagine everything will be fine.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. As an update, the buyer who have gone with this company have now said they are not prepared to exchange until their solicitor has cleared funds for their purchase. They have said they have a reputation of pulling the plug on completion day. Our solicitor has said we need confirmation of lending but the buyer is saying even if given it’s not a given?0

I dont use Together often - I dont think many brokers do to be fair. They are VERY thorough before they offer the mortgage. I have never known them to pull an offer and it doesnt make much sense that they would. I imagine the solicitor just doesnt feel confident in them and doesnt want to be on the hook. Together will be fine if the offer has been issued im sure.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thank you, yes the solicitor is nervous of them but so are we. They won’t exchange contracts until they have money in the bank & they are saying they often release money late in the day on completion day. We are exchanging on Friday & completing on Monday so very worried.0
