National Express weekend timetable

Over the years I've made several journeys from Cornwall to and from Heathrow airport. I find it excellent value for money and extremely convenient, especially as the driver loads and unloads luggage. I've just checked times and fares for a return journey to Heathrow later this year. Unfortunately, this time I shall be travelling on a Saturday and Sunday. I've now discovered that the timetable is different at weekends. Of course there's no reason it shouldn't be but I blithely assumed it would be the same. The journeys are even longer and times are inconvenient.

I'll probably need to use the train instead. It will cost a lot more and I'll struggle with my case. However, the timetable is better at weekends.

To clarify, my post is not a complaint, more an expression of disappointment. It may be informative to others who weren't aware of the different timetable.

I'd expect most forms of public transport to have different timetables on weekends because the profile of travellers is different, more leisure, less business/commuting. And for coach travel the roads will be busy at different times to when they are on weekdays, so timetables will be adjusted accordingly.

I had another look earlier. This time the weekend timetable was exactly the same as the weekday one! What I did differently on the N.E. site was to search timetables, rather than putting my starting point and destination first.
