Hi all
Newbie here but really looking for some helpful advice…
Will be applying for a joint mortgage within next 6 months (ideally High street lender)
Joint income is 47k per year, looking at 175k house with a 30k deposit…
Partner has perfect credit, no debts, has also got a mortgage (selling properly currently)
My credit file, has one account (short term loan, DMP from 2018-2020) partially settled (as they offered me a reduction to settle early)
The DMP/missed payment markers and partial settlement don't come of my report Untill Nov 2026, I have no debt currently and had 5 years of good behaviour credit wise.
Does anyone know any High street lenders that may accept us?
Cheers

Reasonable deposit, good incomes and historic. You probably fit criteria with most.
But I would probably have a look at anyone who was included in the DMP and avoid them (just as an example, if you had an RBS or a mint credit card, then you probably want to avoid natwest).
Fitting criteria does not mean you will be accepted, but like you say there are positives so I would like to think you should be ok.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Why do you want a high street lender? Last time I got a mortgage I used Mojo Mortgages (online) and they sorted me out with a mortgage from Halifax0

HiThanks for the information.I thought High street lenders would be better rates and we wouldn't need to use a bad credit broker who would charge fees to set it up..
Is there any high street banks you think my criteria would be accepted with ?0 -
