Does anyone have any knowledge of being a UK citizen and claiming Social Security benefits via thier ex-husband? I have heard that due to the WEP agreement, the claim for SS will be reduced if you claim a UK pension. I need to find this information to complete our financial order etc.

Who is asking you for your WEP details, and in what form do they want it? Whatever they're after is now going to be irrelevant.

WEP was repealed in Jan 2025. You can claim SS through an ex-spouse. Do you fulfill the basic requirements, things like being married for longer than 10 years and not marrying again? Are you filing a US SS claim form? And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.0
