I've £11.02 left from last week's food budget, that I'm transferring to the bulk fund.
I'd bought Quorn mince and Quorn chicken style pieces to try as I was running out of ideas as what to cook without it.
I'm still doing odds and sods shopping instead of a proper shop.
I'm keen to start shopping better still, but it will be slow and steady.
I'm starting the week with £40.
I've different bits and bobs in the cupboard, plenty to make a couple of meals, although I'm getting bored with salad and am not keen on stir Fry's as much as I've tried to get used to it and eat it.Decluttering campaign 2023

So.£10.00 spent at Aldi yesterday on Dishwasher tablets, bleach and ice lollies that DH fancied. £34.00 today I'm Sainsbury's on several bits for meals next week when the GDs arrive. Son and Dil staying on island over the weekend and they are taking us out for meal on Saturday so that will save us a bit!craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £35.96 spent, 144 made and 5 mended,

A £21.82 spend in Sainsbury's, Tesco and Iceland.
I'd bought budget free eggs, more Quorn mince, Quorn chicken style pieces (on offer in Iceland), tofu, Quorn chicken style fillets, 2 pots of pasta sauce, budget yoghurt, 1 bag of budget frozen vegetables, 3 bags of frozen fruit, bananas plus salad veg.
It's shocking that I'd bought not much for so much, even with purchasing things on offer.
I must admit I needed tofu, frozen fruit and the chicken style fillets and did the usual picking up bits and bobs.
I'm hoping to be okay for a couple of days though.Decluttering campaign 2023

I eat a protein rich breakfast ( bacon or eggs or yogurt ) Then veg mainly for main meal. If I dont have protein at breccy time I have a main incorporating fish or cheese for main meal.21k savings no debt4

Going spiffingly well this month,
admittedly we have had a couple take aways
but budget is still down all across the board so I’m happy. Spent some money this week in the Chinese supermarket then in sainsbobs getting a few bits.Jan 26 GC 🥞🧇 £0/£500

I had a spend in Waitrose today. I went to get some vegan butter for spreading, and vegan butter for baking. I would normally get a 1kg Flora buttery and use for both, but can't get to an Asda where it's currently cheapest.
Whilst there I also picked up some vegan feta to go in tonight's tea, and I only went and forgot to add it
.
When I find out the total I'll add it to signature.
I know it was £9 odd.
I would have normally gone to the Bread and Butter thing today, but decided to give it a miss; as I need other things this month, so I can't justify the extra bus fare to get there. So, I'm seeing how I get on without it. I still have four boxes of cereal from previous visits. So if nothing else, I'll be good for breakfasts.

Can't get my head round meals and planning this week. Lots of left over bits and pieces from GSs visit and as there are only 2.of us this week. I do have to confess to throwing a few wilted tomatoes and mushrooms away. I also didn't get around to preparing and freezing the 3 swedes that I bought reduced 2 weeks ago. Life is just so hectic with children around all of the time. For all parents in the middle.of.school hols I feel your pain.
Anyway due to the fact that I am concentrating on washing all of the sheets and towels.ready for Fridays visitors we have been getting to the end of the day and eating through odd bits from the freezer. Reverse meal planning without the planning!!?🤣
We only have about £95.00 for the next week and a half. Sounds easy but there are 7 of us over the bank holiday weekend and then 5 for the rest of the month. DS and DIL are.taking.is out for dinner on Saturday so that will help.
I have time tomorrow to do a stock take and plan meals for.tje rest of the month.
