Gov.UK - National Insurance record and State Pension forecast

Hello
I'm a little confused by the Gov.UK site, so hoping someone can advise me. My husband and I both retired March 2023. My husband's National Insurance record full qualifying years show as 44 and mine show as 43 years. We are both showing State Pension forecasts of £230.25 pw and that these forecasts cannot be improved. However for us both the year 2023 - 24 is showing:
"Year is not full"
"Pay a voluntary contribution of £907.40 by 5 April 2030. This shortfall may increase after 5 April 2026." We are both now living on our small work based pensions and looking forward to when our State Pensions come into play. However not sure if we should be making these voluntary payments, which seem rather large.
Thank you in advance.

If your forecast is showing full amounts that cannot be improved, making voluntary payments will have no benefit for you.3

The NI record is merely a statement of fact and as far as the tax man, who is responsible for that part, is concerned the year is not full and it will cost £x to fill. The pension forecast belongs to DWP and is based on the data from the NI record and is explicit about what you need to do. They are two completely different and separate things.1
