UK pension paid to NZ resident

Options
Help please. My sister in law ( a N Z resident) receives a small annual payment to her bank in NZ from DWP, without any reference details and she does not know her N I Number. She wishes to find this .
where can she access any information?  the  hang -up is obviously lack of N I number .she has nor worked in UK for 50 years but is elegible (and gets) this small annual payment as a result of conrtibutions made in UK many years ago.   No early payslips or similar from those early days available. Suggestions?

Find your National Insurance number - GOV.UK

There is a bit low down about people abroad having to "contact"  HMRC.  But maybe she could try some of the online stuff?

Normally the NI number is shown as the payment reference in your bank statement, or is that not the case for international payments?

Hello, in this situation, your relative may need to ask HMRC to do a clerical trace by completing form CA5403 - we have more info here: https://www.litrg.org.uk/tax-nic/national-insurance/national-insurance-numbers
